Pizza Works — Restaurant in West Haven

Severely disappointed was craving eggplant parmigiana all day. Ordered it from this location only to receive expired sour tasting bad smelling entree. Took a couple bites to make sure it was not just my sense of smell that was off and it was for sure spoiled. I manage a restaurant for a living and inspect all the quality of the food we serve multiple times daily to assure that we do not serve expired or poor quality food. I think this establishment should do the same. I called to let them know that the food was off smelling and tasting. The girl put me on hold came back and notified me that the pasta they had in the restaurant was in fact spoiled. She apologized and offered to remake the entrees I declined and just asked for a refund they told me they would need to pick up the entrees in order to give me a refund Unreal experience. Not sure how as a cook or manager/owner you would not be checking daily on the quality of the food you serve. Even more so why hold pasta for so long when it is literally pennies to purchase when you run the risk of getting somebody sick when you serve it. I am praying I do not get sick from the bites I took and will not be ordering from this...

This place has less then 1 star pizza and less then 1 star customer service. I called ordered a pizza and then my family member called and my whole family left to see her in the hospital so I called back the pizza to cancel it because there was no way for me to pay or pick it up or anything. My family had been ordering there for couple decades not just couple years. I explain this to the "owner" or "manager" and he tells me I'm not allowed to do that and refuses to take any of my orders any more. There pizza is looks nothing like the pictures you see online. It's standard pre-set pies at top dollar prices. The convience and deleviery time was the only reason we ordered there seeing as it is close to our house. Can't believe the integrity and disrespect this business gives...

I don't know which is better - the food or the incredible service! Pizza Works pizza is incomparable, being that it is the best I've ever had! To make things even better, the staff is so friendly and helpful! They were extremely efficient at getting my order in and making sure my food got to me as quickly as possible. The care and kindness that I received from the staff was a sigh of relief - you rarely find service like that these days! The owner was so welcoming and it was made very obvious to me that customer satisfaction is his main priority. Overall, great experience here; highly recommend it!
