My wife and I would have had a fabulous experience - food was excellent, the service to US was fabulous, our food server was wonderful to US. However, we did NOT have a fabulous experience. While my wife and I enjoyed top-notch service, sitting two tables from us, in this almost empty restaurant, with several employees, was a gentle mid-90ish woman, and another woman of less years. I saw them quietly enter, sit and order. While our server was attending to us, something crashed from the table on to the floor and the person of the younger, leaving red splatterings upon her dress and across the floor beneath where she sat. But for a glance, not a reaction by our server. After a few passings of this obviously distressed customer with what appeared to be glass on her thigh, and a request by her for help, they brought her a bunch of paper towels and just handed them to her. No nice words to her, no help. Then she awkwardly arose appearing like to turn towards the way to the door, and I, only a customer, asked her if I could help her. She replied that she was going to see if she had a rag in her car. I told her that I can get her a rag here. She said she asked but they gave her paper towels (which I witnessed entirely). I saw one of the employees simply sitting at a table and I asked for rag. She had one at the table and said you can have this one. I, a customer, handed it to this lady. I witnessed them to continue to ignore her, serve her and others food. She got up and I asked if I can be of more assistance and I helplessly said, "I'm so sorry" - she said she is going to the bathroom to clean up and asked if I could watch the other person. I stood next to the almost 100ish lady trying to make small talk and to be civil in the restaurant. I felt like going Rambo. She returned, and I asked an employee if they had a mop and can someone clean this up from the floor. One of the employees got some paper towels, and tossed them on the floor, and with her foot, moved the towels over the mess on the floor. No comments. No smiles. No apologies. I had great service. But this forced me to be either an apathetic accomplice or to assist in what appeared to be outrageously indecent treatment of the elderly, and I could not help but notice that the younger lady was "black." It is hard to believe anyone could be so ignorant to treat someone badly based upon their skin color, and it is harder to imagine to do so to who was likely the caregiver for someone who may have been 100 years old. I will NEVER return...
Read moreOne star for the close location and nice hostess. -4 for the VERY RUDE WAITRESS. I come here often, and the food is good, BUT I brought my out-of-town family here one night and our server was awful, so bad, that it took me a month to write this. FYI--I am a LONG TIME waitress, so i cut MAJOR slack every time I dine, and don't complain ( ew ) Our waitress was slightly older, blondeish hair, angry the whole time that we had the NERVE to come there? Who knows. I ordered my skinny margarita very sweetly, and she yelled in my face -" WHAT!??" - It took me a second to realize what she was talking about and that she was talking about the drink, it was that rude. I repeated myself, and she snapped " A WHAT" again. I repeated myself nicely and tried hard to explain what it is ( besides super effing common) to little avail. Also, you work in a place that serves cocktails, and has a craft cocktail list along with a semi-full bar- have you never heard of a margarita? Also here's a pro tip- or even a rookie tip- just say 'yes' and walk away without being rude, then ask what it is to the 'bartender'. Then instead of telling the bartender I wanted a 'skinny' marg. she brought me some crazy concoction which she just inferred that I may want. I didn't send it back and we still tipped accordingly ( again, as a server, I don't have it in my heart to do less; in case they pool, I cant have other servers paying for her lack of manners) It may sound trivial on paper, but when i say i never complain, I REALLY mean it. The hostess was sweet and nice!! I will never be back, after ordering thrice weekly for the past two years, So yes, KPB, you know who I am so I really can not come back, but That $$$ adds up, and you have lost a customer. Also beware! They will give you pork wontons sometimes instead of 'veggie'
A Skinny Margarita is a margarita without sugar. learn it, its very common. Also attn. Kung Pao, that lady is not a good fit. It is one of the top five most ordered cocktails...
Read moreI would give 0 stars if I could. My friend and I ordered delivery through the restaurant website for their birthday at 3:17pm on March 10, and were given an estimated delivery time of 4:17pm. We were located 14min away from the restaurant. Food did not arrive until 6pm, nearly three hours after ordering. We called around 5 and again 15-30min after that. We were given the runaround every time. In hindsight, we should have ordered pickup.
They claimed the food was delivered and they couldn’t call us (they never called). The 2nd time they told us they didn’t see our order in the back, went to talk to someone, and then claimed the order just got picked up (it had not, we had to call AGAIN).
When we called the 3rd time, they assured us the food would be hot and fresh. It arrived cold, soggy, and leaking. The fried dumplings tasted like they had been sitting out in their paper container for 2+ hrs, and it showed - the packaging was warped and damaged. Several containers of other dishes had leaked all over everything in one of the bags, leaving a large pool of sauce at the bottom of it.
Everything was lukewarm or cold. It probably didn’t help that they sent two men on ONE moped to deliver the food to us, rather than someone in a car.
We have since contacted the restaurant multiple times to make this right, and they refuse to provide a refund more than 30 or 40%. This is unacceptable. I do not recommend ordering from...
