Over the years I've taken care of a fair # of cats & dogs and seen the spectrum of what ppl feed their animals & it ranges from sad to pretty spectacular. I had a Chihuahua mix who was such a picky eater that his owner had to resort to cooking chicken & steak which strangely still did not do the trick. And his stools were always runny. Something clearly wasnt right but... what to do? Tried Fresh Pet refrigerated food in the grocery store but...no difference. Recently we took Peanut to vet & discovered he has a "heart murmur". Apparently, poor nutrition & lack of proper vitamins can coz this condition. The vet recommended Just Food For Dogs. One 3-day trial changed EVERYTHING. Peanut LOVED the food. Not only ate all of it but was literally licking the plate. Within 2 meals, the dog's stool was healthy & solid. Take advantage of the starter pack and get a whopping 20% off ur 1st 2 orders which consisted of turkey, lamb, beef & chicken along w/ vitamins, minerals, produce, etc. Now for the har$h reality. Plan on spending at least $200/mo to feed your dog like this but it does seem to b the best of the best. Started in Newport Beach, CA - i believe they now have 26 locations but don't quote me. They also carry special custom-made food for medical issues. ie. kidney, liver, cancer, sluggishness. The one on Santa Monica and Fairfax has parking but check for the closest...

Let me introduce you to perhaps the best food you can feed your four legged baby. Fresh Food For Dogs has a large variety of freshly made human grade food with focus on healthy ingredients that support various stages of your pet’s life. This was my first time going to the actual location where they make Just Food For Dogs. We’ve been feeding our dogs this brand for quite sometime and I always wondered what the actual facility that makes these fresh and great quality recipes looks like. As I was greeted by the manager, he gave me a little tour and explained how they make different recipes on different days. The service was so impressive that I went ahead and bought chew toys and treats as well. The manager was so kind that he took the time to ask about our dogs and included a box of another recipe for our older dog. I was drawn to Ollie by their aggressive marketing campaign, especially their claims against The Farmer's Dog, which I had been happily using. I decided to give Ollie a try—but quickly regretted it.

The food arrived with a noticeably dry and sticky consistency, nothing like the fresh, balanced meals I’d been getting before. My dog, who had never been a picky eater, began skipping meals and seemed less enthusiastic about mealtime overall. Worst of all, he developed a bald patch on his side during the switch—something I’d never seen before.

On top of the poor food quality, Ollie is actually more expensive than The Farmer’s Dog. Their marketing approach, which relies on misinformation and slandering competitors, left a bad taste in my mouth. I don’t support companies that resort to that kind of strategy.

I would strongly discourage anyone from falling for the hype. There are better, more honest options out there...
