Review: Nielsen's Frozen Custard is a delightful frozen dessert spot that brings back nostalgic flavors and a cozy atmosphere. As an elderly gentleman who appreciates the simple pleasures in life, I found myself drawn to the creamy goodness of their frozen custard.
The moment I stepped into Nielsen's, I was greeted by friendly staff members who were eager to help. The menu boasted a variety of flavors, ranging from classic vanilla and chocolate to more adventurous options like mint chocolate chip and butter pecan. I decided to go with a traditional chocolate cone, and boy, was I in for a treat!
The frozen custard was rich, smooth, and incredibly indulgent. The texture was just right, striking a balance between dense and light, and the chocolate flavor was decadent without being overly sweet. It brought back memories of simpler times, when a scoop of frozen custard on a warm summer evening could bring pure joy.
One aspect that stood out to me was the attention to detail in the presentation. The ice cream was neatly swirled into a perfect peak atop the cone, and the optional toppings, such as sprinkles or nuts, were generously added upon request. It was clear that Nielsen's takes pride in creating visually appealing treats.
The only reason I'm not giving Nielsen's Frozen Custard a full five stars is the limited seating area. As an elderly customer, I appreciate having a comfortable place to sit and enjoy my frozen treat. However, the lack of ample seating meant that I had to savor my custard on the go.
Overall, Nielsen's Frozen Custard is a charming establishment that offers delicious frozen custard with a touch of nostalgia. It's a place where you can satisfy your sweet tooth and enjoy a moment of indulgence. If you find yourself craving a delightful frozen treat, I would highly recommend giving...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe usually have a good experience here but tonight was definitely not that! We ordered our concrete choices and went to sit downā¦. All the tables were dirty. I went up to get a rag to wash the table and a gal came out and did it. We had to finish the job⦠she left pieces of food on the table still. Maybe she was in a rush butā¦ā¦ then we got our concreteā¦. My husbands was sooo soupy and so disgustingly sweet that it wasnāt edible. We said something to the gal that brought out the cone that came way after the concretes. He had eaten about a 1/4 of it and just couldnāt keep eating it. Her response was, āsorry we have a lot of new people back thereā. š³. He asked if they could make a new one she came back to the table and said āthe manager said we can make a new one but you have to pay for it because you have eaten so much of it! We had bragged to his mom about how good this place was and had to take her there for the frozen custard while she was visiting Utah. We told her about the old fashioned diner vibe with oldies music but the custard machines were so loud we couldnāt hear the musicš She was unimpressed to say the least. Sure would be nice if the owners addressed...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe go to the Nelsonās in Millcreek regularly and LOVE it. Super nice staff, always a great experience. Decided to try this location (7617 S. Nielsens Park Ln, West Jordan) and will not be returning. The menu isnāt clear on size portions and thereās no option for cups + 1-3 scoops. When I inquired they didnāt answer my question, only told me the price of a small concrete and the speaker was so loud at the drive through you couldnāt hardly make out the words being spoken, and it hurt your ears. Also. What ice cream shop doesnāt have sprinkles? All we wanted was vanilla with strawberries and sprinkles. Super disappointing. We let the cashier at the window know of the speaker problem, she ignored short of āohā. I followed it up with, I omit you might not be the one to fix it, but maybe pass the word on. She ignored me, mentioned the total & then took my payment. We then waited 5+ minutes for 2 small ice creams. Over all...
