Working with La Boutique de Bridal & Tuxedo was an absolutely wonderful experience. Before finding them, I had already visited three other shops searching for my dream dress. After showing Karie some images of dresses I had tried on before, she helped me to find a Christina Wu dress which was everything I was looking for. Their price to order was fair but I got an even more unbelievable deal as I was given a discount for purchasing on National Bridal Day. When my dress arrived I was beyond thrilled. From my first fitting, Valerie was truly incredible. She completed all of the alterations herself and showed me multiple options for bustles so that I could see which I liked best. In addition to perfecting my dress, Valerie also restored my mother's veil. My mother and father were married in 1978 and it was deeply meaningful for me to be able to incorporate her veil into my attire. Of course, styles were quite different when my mother wore the veil originally. However, by removing the headband and replacing the comb, Valerie transformed the veil into a piece that reflected my style while preserving its traditional charm. She adhered the lace appliques which had become loose over the years and made the piece look brand new. I also purchased my shoes and garter belt from her store. To further connect my attire with my husband's, Valerie added another touch of customization to the garter with ribbons which matched my color palette. Valerie made my dress absolutely beautiful. It was my dream dress. So much detail and care was put into it, including the custom made sleeves. She made it everything I ever wanted and better. I personally was so worried walking in about how I was going to look as a curvy plus sized woman with very wide arms, but Valerie and Jadyn made me feel so happy comfortable and beautiful! Valerie also altered my mother’s dress and two of my bridesmaids dresses. They were stunning. She really puts her all into every dress and has an eye for the beauty and detail in her work to where she personally picks great quality materials and fabrics for our dream dresses. You can see the passion she has. I will forever go to Valerie for every special event that needs alterations. We also realized we were missing 1 thing the day of the wedding and had called Valerie 2 hours before the wedding started, and Valerie personally drove all the way to the venue as fast as she could and delivered them to me herself to make sure I had the dress of my dreams. Valerie was great and I found my wedding dress here! She was super helpful. I had the freedom to select my own gowns even after letting her know my budget, she did not lead me more to one side of dresses than another, she helped me get the gowns on and off when asked, and she & I and the women I was with were all talking about the dresses as I tried them on and the pros and cons of them, the alterations that would be needed, and I felt super welcome here.

I’m coming back later this year to start alterations on my dress and get it taken in since my wedding is next April. I tried on probably ten dresses here. Valerie also had the clips to the dress in place where it needed to be.

Even if a dress is too big, try it in. If it’s somewhat not your style, try it on. So glad I found La Boutique. The service is more personalized and Valerie does all alterations herself!

UPDATE one year later after my wedding The alterations Valerie did were amazing. She took my dress in three sizes (discontinued, could not order in my size,) did my bustle, cut the length, and did a few other things to help my dress fit perfect.
