Me and my fiancee arrived at the restaurant around 7pm Friday evening...it was beautiful night so we asked to be seated out on there patio. They escorted us to table were we attempted to sit down when I was attempting to sit at that time my chair went to pieces I mean it fell completly apart I hit the concrete my head hit the concrete so hard I seen stars it almost knocked me completly out. The chair just fell to pieces and the back fell all aprt also sonthe twonpieces of wood the held the vmcak of the cjair together stabbed me in my neck my back i hit the floor so hard i got bruises huge one all over the ledt side of my body the chair leg came up stabbed me in my lower back areait took a big knot on my side and the hospital i went to said they think it may have damaged my kidney the lady seating us seen everything g the other people sitting on the patio also gave us there number and said they would be a witness tonthe whole thing. So what I'm saying even after that I was so sick to my stomach I couldn't eat my head was hurting so bad and you know they asked me if I needed a ambulance I didn't think so I couldn't even think my head was hurting I couldn't eat and do you know what they charged us for our food anyway never even acted like they were to much more concern except they did see how much pain I was in and asked me again if I needed a ambulance but I wasn't deo.around there I from jonesboro so I decided I was going to go ahead and try not to not do what we had planned fir months and go to the casino got there I was in there maybe 15 mins before I passed out there my fiancee caught me he seen me caught me before I hit the floor there and I came. The service was slow, the food was mediocre, and the margarita was weak. For instance, I ordered a large cheese and got stale chips and a plate of cheese dip. Did they run out of bowls or is this how they serve a large cheese dip? I ordered a shrimp taco salad, and it took almost an hour to get my food, which barely had any shrimp. This plate cost me fourteen dollars...SMH... Happy Mexican in the Memphis has a grilled shrimp salad with avocados for about twelve.
The bathrooms were dirty with an overrunning toilet. The dining area was unkempt, and the DJ system was too loud. We decided to sit in the patio area, which was filled with dirty dishes and glasses. I also agree with another reviewer on the use of profanity in music in a "family restaurant" with children.
My friend ordered their margarita, which took longer to get out than the food. The server dropped it off and never came back until the end of our meals. Basically, it was a frozen lemonade because it had little alcohol. The drink was neon yellow indicating that it there was little alcohol but lots of margarita mix. After taking one sip, my friend tried to send it back, but the server didn't return until he brought the checks. When she tried to get a refund, another man came to our table and pointed out a disclaimer that read no refunds on margaritas. The disclaimer is located on the back of the menus at the bottom in small print. This was amusing because the name of the restaurant is Las Margaritas but it needs a disclaimer on its margaritas. I also found the location of the disclaimer funny. What I found not funny was the man who showed us the disclaimer. He was not understanding...
Read moreJust left on a Saturday night. We self seated and were greeted within 10 minutes. We put in an order for drinks and food and sat for an hour receiving neither. Eventually the waitress asked the manger to get the drinks and he rushed them out to us. We waited another 20 minutes for food. The fajitas were overcooked but the flavor was ok. We had ordered a queso which was not originally brought out. When asked the waitress went to the back and brought it immediately. The queso had a stiff layer on top which made me believe it had been poured just not brought out in a timely manner. We ordered another round of drinks which came quickly. At the end of it all the server brought the tab which included an 18% gratuity. The menu said the gratuity is added on all party of 6 or over. There was only 2 of us. Apparently there is a handwritten note on the door (one of several) that said its mandatory gratuity on all checks Friday and Saturdays. I don't mind tipping but had i know i would be charged 18% I would have left 45minutes after I ordered and was still sitting with an empty table. When I inquired about the tip % the manager argued that she deserved it because thats how they make a living. I never said I wouldn't tip iI just didn't think this kind of service is worth 18%. The manager knows he had to make a special request to even get our drinks out so the idea he would argue about deserving 18%...
