I have Recently when to this location which is the closest to my house. I was extremely disappointed with the service and just the way I was treated by the employees. 1st issue, It was Tuesday and it was their Coney dog special the young lady at the drive-thru did not know how to ring it up and Only charges for one and when we had to continuously honk a drive-through the catch her attention .we were told that we cannot order it because we did not order it at the Box and there were no more hot dogs available. 2nd issue The young lady taking orders in the dining Room thought it was OK to come into the drive-through and start eating and drinking in front of customers., Not only was at discussing it's also a former crossing Contamination And if that wasn't just enough the chemicals were left out just to the right of her where she was eating her food. So on my way home, I decided to take it upon myself as I am an RGM at a fast food chain myself that I would call and talk to management. I believe the manager on duty was named Joe who by the way was phenomenal on how he handled the situation. Unfortunately, the young ladies when confronted with the issues wanted to argue with him, Now don't get me wrong the food was hot the food was delicious but lacking on customer service. I understand some people it's their 1st jobs and they have to start in someone. And finally when I called corporate which I believe they are based out of Kentucky, couldn't even get a callback and email or anything just to discuss my visit at this Particular location. Read moreAs a fan of fish meals, it is hard to find places that a quick that serve it. I was hoping that this would become my new fish shack, but alas... It is horrible. I usually try to give a very balanced opinion of a place, because I know experices can vary from shift to shift and day to day, but I have been here twice, and last night was the end of this Long John Silvers. I waited 28 mins, at an otherwise empty store. Litterally, I was the only customer for the entire time I was there, but still waited as if it was lunch-rush. I paid for my meal, and wasn't offered the drink, until I was was given my food, if you are going to make someone wait, at least offer them something (like the beverage they paid for) to take their mind off the wait. When I finally recieved the food, it was uncerimoniously shoved through the window, without so much as a "I am sorry for the wait, Have a good night, or even a goodbye". I watched the staff interaction through the window, and watched them yelling and carrying-on back and forth, for what seemed no apperant reason, as I said, I was the only customer. It is clear to me now, that this is a franchise, where the Owner has absolutely knowledge, desire or control over the brand they bought into.
The food was dry (I don't know how this is possible with food cooked in grease), over-cooked and lacked any appeal. Happily, my dogs seemed to enjoy it.
Save yourself the time and money, stop in at Wallmart at the top of the hill from this place and buy a box of fish sticks. I am sure they will taste better. And you will be able to buy, get home, cook and eat them before you could even get your meal...
Read moreMy husband and I haven't had LJS for a long time after a somewhat bad experience (not at this location) and we wanted to try it again. I'll say first that the food was fine, up to my expectation for LJS, and the staff were nice. However as soon as we walked in there was a lady coughing her lungs out all over the place, not covering her mouth, and then she volunteered to be the one to plate our food lol. We walked around looking for a clean booth and couldn't really find one, except for the one right next to the door. The entire place was practically coated in grease and crumbs—I saw they were hiring and was half tempted to apply just so I could clean it up myself. They had like no customers, not in the drive thru nor the dining area, I don't understand how they couldn't find the time to clean the place up. The drink and utensil station was also poorly stocked, hardly any cup lids left, greasy and sticky area, and the bottle of hot sauce we grabbed had a dead gnat stuck to it. My husband tried to use the restroom which was also terribly filthy. As I said though the staff was friendly and even brought the food to our table, I don't think they're bad staff, I just don't understand why the place is so filthy given that it doesn't seem like they have all that much to do, with no customers at all. I feel bad even leaving a negative review because they were nice, but I see several reviews already about the cleanliness dating months back and it appears nothing has changed.
