I had the worst experience ever here! The manager and waitress we had were very disrespectful towards us. It started to go downhill because the waitress billed us incorrectly. The waitress decided to put all of the unpaid tickets onto my bill instead of asking who is paying for what. She proceeds to get the manager, great but not! When I explained to her and the manager that the following items would be on my ticket, she began to call myself and other members of my party liars in front of her manager while she stood there and didn’t say remember customer service because she failed to get my ticket right. We waited well over 2 hours to get a ticket fixed and they still didn’t correct it. For future references in case anybody doesn’t know, you do not have to pay a gratuity fee if your service was horrible! We had 3 drinks non-alcoholic beverages within 2 1/2 hours of being at the restaurant, undercooked chips which tasted old, salty food and bad customer service. What makes it worse is that the manager continually lied and allowed her waitress to be disrespectful. I WILL NEVER EAT AT THIS RESTAURANT AGAIN! The GM wasn’t trying to be helpful in anyway except for saying well which of your parties didn’t pay for their food? My entire party paid! The waitress didn’t bill us right and went back and added gratuity to give herself a tip because she knew her service was horrible then she pocketed $80 from the two members who paid cash! I am disgusted with this place and will not go back! I’ve never had to experience anything like this at any of the restaurants...
Read moreMe and my family ate here today and the experience was terrible. First we get there and tell them how many people we have and tell them that we also have a handicapped little boy and they said it would be a 30-45 minute wait. So as we sit there for a HOUR waiting we watch 3 different parties that came in after us and that had just as many people as us get seated. So we over hear them talking about seating another big party that came in after us so we get up and ask what the wait is and the manager tells us that we have to wait longer because we have a handicapped little boy and there was nothing she could do about it. She literally acted like she could care less and we informed them of this when we told them how many people and they still said 30-45 minute wait. So when we finally got seated we waited about 15 minutes for our drinks and when she brought out our appetizer it had a hair in it... The waitress just took the appetizer back and again acted like she could care less about all these problems that were happening during our visit. It literally took over an hour to get our food and some of the food was cold when it came out and some of it was wrong. We also just had to get it to go because it was getting really late and we had a baby that was screaming because she was tired and 3 kids that needed to get in bed because they have school tomorrow. Therefore we sat at this restaurant for 2 1/2 hours and didn’t even get to enjoy our food because we had to take it home. Let me just tell you this experience was ridiculous and WE WILL...
Read moreWe’re frequent customers of Walk-On’s and have left positive reviews at other locations. Unfortunately, this visit was completely unacceptable.
The bartender—a redhead whose name I didn’t catch—was one of the most blatantly bigoted servers I’ve ever encountered. She never greeted me, gave me a blank stare when I explained I wanted to place a to-go order at the bar (which I repeated several times). Despite the poor treatment, I still tipped her.
When I asked one of the hosts about a promotional item, (the host was very sweet and bubbly) they turned to the bartender to check, and she rolled her eyes while looking directly at me—clearly annoyed I’d even asked. Only after realizing I saw her reaction did she pretend to address the request.
Whether or not the item was available is not the issue. It’s about basic courtesy and professionalism. This isn’t high school—this is the hospitality industry. As a paying guest, I deserve the same respect and treatment as anyone else.
I looked around and saw several tables filled with people of color, which made it even more disappointing. We are spending money here too, and we deserve better.
Based on the vibe in this location, I doubt this is the first time it’s come under scrutiny for this kind of behavior. And while losing a few families may not impact the bottom line right now—trust me, it will eventually.
Shameful, disgusting behavior. I will never eat here again. Clean this up.
Also the fish was good the salad was wilted and the corn grits had been sitting for awhile and...
