With the exception of how often I write reviews I thought this needed one. Let's start by addressing the fact that this little gem of a place is a breath of fresh air addition to West Monroe's! Plenty of flavors and options with an aesthetically pleasing atmosphere! Visit at least once for sure!
Just expect to pay higher than normal. The only reason for the rating is the pricing. I've been to many places with very similar menus and options (I encourage you google other tea/boba shops) from Shreveport to Los Angeles but this is in my opinion a little too price-y even for the drinks alone. For example, my 20oz "The Hanioan" drink (think Venti sized at Starbucks) alone without added toppings/Boba was set at $10 and change. I asked for light ice and it was a whole DOLLAR EXTRA for LIGHT ICE. And THEY DO NOT WARN YOU ABOUT THE UPCHARGE. Or ask if it's ok that it's upcharge at the very least. No warning nothing. A bit absurd to upcharge for a few less ice cubes. Not even Starbucks charges in that manner and they're known to be pricey themselves.
Dont get me wrong, try it yourself! Tastes good and I may still come back. Just very very seldom due to oddly high prices and being sneaky about...

The atmosphere was extremely welcoming and relaxed. The baristas did not rush us and were friendly. The cafe itself is decorated really cute. I could see hanging out with friends for brunch frequently, or coming for weekend treats with the family.
We tried coffee, boba tea, and authentic shaved ice this visit. The tiramisu coffee was a good blend between bold coffee and sweet cream. The watermelon lychee boba tea was super refreshing and had a wonderful taste. I am not a huge fan of tea, but would order this drink for myself in the future. After enjoying our drinks so much, we were persuaded to order the strawberry kiwi shaved ice. Portion wise, it was split between two adults and our one year old. I would highly recommend giving any of these items a try! We look forward to trying the pho and bubble waffles during a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIn a sea of bleak premade, overprocessed, slap and dash, it came in a can or gravy package from Sysco, restaurant offerings further drug down by the kitchen dumping salt, sugar, and MSG in an appalling attempt for flavor on the cheap, the sub-par eating out choices that overwhelmingly make up the Monroe and West Monroe area is largely a river of culinary rubbish. Thankfully, the Viet House has emerged as a refreshing bright spot in this rather barren landscape for small-batch, flavorful, healthy food.
We had egg rolls, pho, and fruit tea. The eggrolls were delicious crispy, and flavorful. The pho was a new try for us and we are hooked. It is a delectable blend of rice noodles, meat, broth and vegetables, spices. We found the price reasonable, the staff was helpful and made suggestions that checked all the right boxes.
