I placed an order via Grubhub and they placed rotten avocados on my order. I'm not sure what restaurant wouldn't care about the physical representation of their plate. Further, when I called to request a refund/change they refused and were only willing to deliver a new avocado. This is completely unacceptable and I will never order from them again. There are plenty of other restaurants who actually care and provide good customer service.
RESPONSE: Since I cannot reply, no I did not "ask" for a new avocado. It was literally the only option I was being given. Yes, I did return it when the delivery man got here because not only did i pay for the food, not only did I get served rotten avocados on both orders, but now I have to settle and fix my own plate that I paid for? No, that is not how the restaurant business works. I'm sorry but no. The fact that that the plate left your establishment in this condition makes me question what else you're willing to let slide. Oh and btw, I was the one to contact Grubhub and requested a refund on the basis of such, not vise versa. Service was very good up to the point that we were met with the bill. I noticed what I thought were errors on the bill, and amicably brought up the price disparity on the guac to our waitress. She simply told us that it hasn't been updated on the menu and there's nothing she can do about it, with a pretty nasty attitude to boot. We told her that at the very least it should've been said to us upon ordering, and while to anyone with common sense it seems like the reasonable thing to do, she said her boss explicitly told her NOT to tell customers, and judging by her delivery and reasoning, she seems to think it's the right way to do it as well because "some customers might take it NOT the right way" (her words, not mine).
