Lotus Oriental Cuisine — Restaurant in West Orange

The Only place I eat Chinese food is Lotus. They cook with love and I've never seen a cleaner Shop. They are very kind and after 20 years, they are the same from the first time we met. I moved away from West Orange but I always come back to eat here. If not, I dont eat. Other chinese spots do not have the same quality tasty food or service. I consider them like family and the food is very good to me. Their Boneless Ribs are the best in NJ. The Dipping Sauce made in house for Dumplings should be sold in Stores. I've ordered a variety of foods and it has always been decent, rice is clumpy sometimes. Delivery is about 45 minutes for 3-4 menu items and I live 3 miles away.

Very rude woman with poor customer service skills answers the phone most of the time. She rushes you off the phone and yells to the staff loudly in Cantonese while taking your order.

I personally hold a special bond with this restaurant. When I moved to West Orange years ago, you know how hard it is to find a good restaurant. Be it Asian or American. Well venturing out I came across the lotus and I was impressed from that day on. The style and the flavor is different from any other. Plus I came to know them and their children. They where my kids ages and things clicked. My family was raised on lotus and not fried chicken wings. Although they are good. Lol. But the many dishes and speciality dishes you will love.
