Hunter Crab Seafood Restaurant and Bar — Restaurant in West Palm Beach

My daughter and I were excited to try this restaurant for the first time. The food was good and we kept saying we wanted to come back. My complaint is about the service. We started off fine but while we were still eating the server came to the table to take payment. It was cash and she completed everything on her handheld device. I was charged automatic gratuity because of the live DJ (who arrived as we were leaving) which was fine, but I never received a receipt. Then while we were still eating she returned to remove the bucket of shells (which we still needed) and the paper plate that were on the table. So, no we are putting our remaining shells in our plate of food. (I suppose we could've just put our shells on the paper table lining, but we didn't want to look at the messy table) Then while we are still finishing our dinner, she came back a third time to remove our drinks and say goodbye. WE ARE STILL EATING OUR DINNER. I thought she was in a hurry to leave then I noticed she greeting another table, so she was clearing not cut and ready to go home. I told her to leave the waters on the table and we would see ourselves out. This meant we would not have our after dinner cocktails or...

UNCLEAN SEAFOOD MADE ME ILL ⚠️ I ordered the Bourbon Special Boiled Combo for my friend’s birthday and got a disaster instead. The shrimp and lobster tails still had fecal matter, and the blue crab smelled sour. None of the seafood was properly cleaned. Within hours, both my friend and I were sick.

When I called the manager, Carmen, to rectify the issue, she said refunds require an in-person doctor’s note — otherwise, only a gift card.

A gift card for food that made us ill!??

That is completely unacceptable. This restaurant advertises “fresh, high-quality seafood,” but what I received was the opposite: careless, unsanitary, and unsafe. I gave them a chance to resolve the issue, and they chose not to.

First time was great, second time was absolutely horrendous. The food quality sucked. The amount of food was poorly executed. The flavor was absolutely awful. We ordered the same exact food course, and each time we had it was completely different. Food quality has deteriorated extremely from our previous experience.
