Marco's Pizza — Restaurant in West Palm Beach

If there was an opportunity provided to give ZERO stars this location more than deserved it. Now, I’ve been a loyal and dedicated customer to the Marco’s franchise but if you take away nothing from this review take away this…. Be careful where you choose to place your order, each location is not necessarily ran by one individual and from a systematical error it cost me LITERALLY! I logged into my account place an order got an email confirmation of my order however, the order was processed outside of my login and sent to this Palm Beach Lakes location, my rewards was never applied to my account which more so confirmed something happen.

Nevertheless, the store was contacted upon notice shortly after because I went to my usual spot in Lake Worth. The beautiful and lovely young lady (name left out purposely and credited in a review for her store) and myself spoke with JOHNNY/JONNIE (however) who stated he was the “owner” without reservations or a care in the world his words was, “ok and? See you soon” he further stated, “I am not issuing a refund for the error and the food will be made and at his location”, he explained “if it was his store error, he would have given the refund. So, see you soon”.

Like seriously, it didn’t matter the circumstances to Johnny/Jonnie or even if I had something else that would have prevented me from traveling that 28 mins for 2 pies, It’s the lack of care, customer service, and appreciation for the service. The world we have grown accustomed to living in stopped caring about even the littlest things, even if the effect wouldn’t have hurt on a larger scale. So, I did not went for the pies I paid for, it clearly meant more to Johnny/Jonnie to make the sale of $25.67 to keep the lights on.

I stand on my word and will pay double to avoid this mistake again and continue to support businesses like MARCO’S LAKE WORTH, that dedicate more than just a service, but a level of customer service that goes beyond the dollar. The food is fantastic - but I had an unfortunate encounter with the manager who stood in disbelief when I told him my order was done incorrectly. Instead of actively listening and looking at the receipt of my order, he insisted I call in my order next time. I was a bit baffled that he was resisting just getting to the solution, which was to remake my order per how I ordered it (correctly) online. He was a bit hyper focused on being in the right when the ticket was clearly broken out between two styles of pizza. Eventually, his saw the error and came out to where I was waiting to apologize, good for him he finally took ownership and stopped blaming me for their error. They essentially fixed the situation but it took a long time to get to the conclusion of the interaction. He allowed me to keep the messed up order and upgraded a fresh and correct order to the next size up and included a 2 liter soda. But he would not have had to do any of that or feel so guilty if he had done the right thing from the start - in the world of customer service (to which I was a part of for 20 years myself) you can’t afford to waste a customer’s time on the details on who did what wrong… don’t argue or escalate the situation by fixating on blame and therefore creating a very sour and frustrating experience that was tough to shake. Fraudulent business practice !!! Standing in the store, I read the menu. 4 pizza sizes. I chose the second smallest pizza The menu says $11.99 I order my pizza and then they ask me to swipe my card and pay. But the cost is $19.99!!!!!!!!!!! The staff tells me "oh they haven't changed the price on the menu" An $8 dollar increase on a 12 dollar item and they didn't change the price. Obviously, the management just doesn't care or try at all!! I changed my order to the meatball sub. Yuck! They must be lying about what the food is. The "meatball " was sliced tiny pieces of a very breaded meatloaf. Almost no meat in the meat ball. And the "cheese " lol, definitely " cheese product." Nothing had flavor. They lie about the prices by more than 60% increase. Seems like they are not being honest on describing what ingredients are in the food and very deceptive...
