Small but Mighty! Don't be fooled by the size of this little blockbuster. I've passed this place by so many times. Yesterday was the day. What a revelation. For a first visit to BBQ, I always stick with my Holy Trinity: Half slab, Mac & Cheese and Collards. Off Tha Bone needs to be recommended for a James Beard Award. THE SLAB: I've never seen such a meaty, more than ample half slab of ribs. These aren't baby back. This half slab is absolutely shareable. If you could put that many ribs away, God bless ya. I can't. My son was happy to pick up my slack. They are juicy all the way down to the bone with a magnificent, almost "candied" kind of bark. Nice and hot, and since I live within 5 minutes, they were still hot when I got them home. THE MAC: It's like your Grandma came back from the grave. Huge portion, creamy, dreamy, cheese-a-licious - I was feeling cheddar but I don't know if there's something else to it. What this Mac is NOT is over-seasoned, spicy, RED (why would anyone do that?) or smokey. It's just unadulterated perfection. The elbows are the wider, bigger ones, and there's cheese stuck to 'em all the way around, inside and out. This is the picture and body and soul of comfort food. THE GREENS: Perfect. Again, not over-seasoned with fake smoke. This is "clean greens," except for the usual fixings; a little pepper, just the right vinegar, and best of all, these greens don't taste like they were soaked for 12 hours in brine. They were cut nice and coarse, not fine chopped, so you got a fork full of good for you greens. They're the perfect companion to that Mac and Cheese. There's street parking and a few parking spots on the property. They also serve breakfast 7-11 am every day except for Monday. They are closed on Monday. Wait until you see the Sunday Menu - all the old favorites like Meat Loaf and Smothered Pork Chops. (We will be there!) Palm Beach County is woefully lacking in Rib joints. This is THE joint and you no longer have to drive to Boynton for Troy's, which is way more expensive than Off The Bone. This is the place....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOMG!!!! This is where you go when you crave BBQ! You can order online and pick up, but since it was my first time, I decided to go and order in person. The rib dinner is their most popular dish, so that's what I got. I couldn't decide on sides so I had her surprise me, and what a delicious surprise. I had a side of baked beans, mac & cheese and even a side of collard greens. As for BBQ sauce, when you can't decide between sweet, tangy or spicy just get all 3. Mouth was in heaven belly thanked me. One review I read said, rib meat fell off the bone and indeed it did. The rib dinner was phenomenal... Absolutely delicious! I couldn't leave without dessert and just so happened there was one slice of pecan cake. Now I understand why dessert goes fast. Pecan cake was heaven! If you get there in time before dessert sells out, get 2 slices, one for after dinner and another to to enjoy next day with a cup of coffee. Sundays are special with Grandma's special dishes: meatloaf, smothered pork chop and smothered turkey wing dinners. I'll be back to try the meatloaf and smothered pork chop. Breakfast is also served. BBQ lovers, you gotta try Off Tha Bone BBQ! 10/18/2025 Review update: Still absolutely DELICIOUS! Ordered the pulled pork and rib dinner with side of baked beans and mac & cheese. Grabbed dessert, the 7 up cake and sweet potato pie. Smelled so good that even the cats came out asking for a bite, which they have never ever asked to get a bite of my meals. The dinner was enough for 2 meals. Got extra BBQ sauce, mix of all 3 because why limit yourself to one. Mouth watering just writing review. I haven't had the 7 up cake yet, but the sweet potato pie, OMG, delicious perfection in every bite! Tip, if you want dessert, order early because it doesn't last. I watched it disappear off counter while waiting for my order. I was lucky to get the last sweet potato pie. Some items on menu just available on Sundays. You craving BBQ, this is where...
Ā Ā Ā Read more2nd time visiting, 4/16/2024, the food was not as good but the service was excellent. I decided to get the chicken and ribs (19.99). You get 2 sides but if fries there is an extra charge. They put rib tips and ribs on plate but thatās not what menu states. The rib tips didnāt taste good, at all; too much fat on them. I really didnāt enjoy the food as much this time. The sauce on meat was very skimpy and I paid additional money for sauce on fries, a total of $23 for a a small to go plate. They didnāt have turkey this time either and had just opened.
Soring 2023: This was THE BEST BBQ I have ever eaten! I ordered the chicken dinner ($13.99) and my friend ordered greens!! After she tasted my chicken she decided to call in an order for ribs. OMG, the band fits because the chicken and ribs fell OFF THE BONE! The sweet and tangy sauce has a name but I forgot. Itās the best seller and I see why because itās perfect!
The staff (Tiffany and cook) weāre very friendly and patient. This was our first time and it seems we took 5-10 minutes to order. We googled and it had 4 stars and but it should have 5 stars or more.
As we waited for our order there were many coming to pick up orders and now I see why! They were out of cake but a gentleman told us they are delicious.
The fries and macaroni and cheeses were very good! To be honest, everything was superb!!! I kept eating even after being full of that says anything! I just didnāt want to stop!
No worries about safety as there were no issues. I highly recommend this restaurant if you have a...
