Baby! I just finished indulging in the most delicious Southern comfort breakfast I've ever had, thanks to a recommendation from my colleague. I call it a secret spot because I would never have found it if it weren't for my colleague, who was raised in the area. I wanted to make sure I reviewed this place while the flavors of good old Southern country cuisine were still fresh in my mind. This breakfast hit my soul and comforted me like a grandmother comforts her grandbabies.

The grits were incredibly creamy, cheesy, and flavorful. I thought I had tasted the best grits before, but I was wrong; these were truly the best I've ever had. The fried fish was crisp and cooked to perfection, while the smothered fish was so well-seasoned it needed nothing else. The biscuits were simply delightful. Honestly, I want to be a little selfish and keep this five-star find to myself because it feels like a hidden gem. LOL!

Trendy Gourmet is a small little gem that serves excellent food for the soul. The atmosphere is stylish and trendy. The music they play goes well with the food too!

Most of all, the food here makes you want to slap someone it's so good. I found myself humming and singing while eating my order of Loaded Grits.

The parking here is tight and limited, but the food makes up for that. You can also call ahead and place an order for pickup. The food here is made to order. Which means they cook it once you order it. The ladies at the front counter were friendly and respectful.

If you're in the area, I suggest stopping by for a serving of a soulful dish. You won't be disappointed.
