Star River Chinese Takeout — Restaurant in West Palm Beach

Let this be a warning to all that thinking of ordering from Star River Chinese. Even though it says they have a 4.0 rating they are not. They need to be closed down by the Health Department asap! O is the rating we are giving. We ordered from a very rude man the following: House Fried Rice, House Lo Mein, , BBQ Ribs, Chicken Wings, Fantail Shrimp and Vegetable Egg Foo Young. Owners are extremely rude and treat their customers horrible. They are reheating old food and if you read the comments of customers they are getting very sick from their food. Food poisoning, diarrhea, vomiting, etc. The only reason we ordered today from them was a mistake. We hated the food the first time and swore we would never order from them again. My husband called them up and complaint and they sent a very loud rude woman to pick up the food and she swore in the 15 years she worked there she never saw this happen. My husband is a Chef and he was explaining to her that the food tasted old and they were reheating and she kept talking over him and disagreeing until my husband broke her and she admitted that the BBQ Ribs and the wings were both reheated but the rest was prepared fresh. Of course my husband disagreed with her as she was continuing to yap her mouth and he asked for a full refund and she was telling him it would take 5 to 7 business days to get a refund.. From a debit card? I don't think so. We have called our bank to notify them of what's going on of course. We thought it was another Chinese Restaurant we usually order from when we placed the order tonight. Horrible mistake we will never make again! We just moved to West Palm Beach 9 months ago and, with 9 months of searching, horrible Chinese food and rude customer service is as far as we've ever gotten. We are from the North East, so we have our preferences, especially when it comes to what makes Chinese food "GOOD". Well, we have FINALLY found a place that is WICKED AWESOME!!! I ordered the sweet and sour chicken and the chicken was so SOFT!! The rice had great flavor! My husband ordered boneless spare ribs. Though it's nothing like "back home" it was still AMAZING!! First time trying this place and I was really stunned with the prices! I usually order a happy family at other places it’s $18 and up but it was only $12 here!! Also the Crab Rangoons are $9 elsewhere and here it’s $6! The prices are amazing and not only that but the food was delicious. I ordered a happy family, crab rangoons and an egg roll and it was fresh and tasty. The crab Rangoon wasn’t as sweet as I prefer it to be but none the less was still good!
