Nice new building with decent rooms featuring kitchenettes, and some of the staff members were lovely!
HOWEVER, other staff members were exceptionally rude, the location is terrible/confusing, there’s no pool which is notably odd for South Florida, there’s no regular housekeeping at all and this place should NOT be marketing itself as “pet-friendly.”
After staying there for over a week with my elderly father, my two young kids and my dog, there was a single incident in which I was holding my dog’s leash while helping my kids get snacks from the vending machine, and an employee quickly, tensely brushed by us—which caused my dog to growl and briefly nip at him while I was distracted.
My dog barely nipped this fully grown man employed as a service worker in a “dog-friendly” hotel, and he wasn’t actually hurt but nonetheless proceeded to throw a full-blown tantrum which resulted in us leaving early.
Like despite it being glaringly obvious that he wasn’t in any way actually injured over this minor, 2-second interaction in which he was being rude to begin with, I apologized profusely, restrained my dog of course and repeatedly asked him if he was okay.
Yet somehow, this man-child found it appropriate to address me as if he was an angry school principle at an institution I was attending rather than a service worker at a hotel I’d paid good money to stay in.
He just kind of went quiet and then was angrily like, “You know what? No. Go put the dog in the room and come back.”
Flabbergasted but wanting to make sure all was well, I obliged and expected to meet him at the desk.
He never said another word to me though. The manager came out and spoke with me instead.
She explained that although he wasn’t bleeding or anything he had “two little circle imprints” in his apparently porcelain skin, she was busy doing “an incident report” over the matter and she would get back to us soon about our dog’s status as a guest.
So I started looking into new reservations right away and genuinely wasn’t surprised when she came back saying, “The dog has to go,” as if our beloved family pet was a pair of scissors going through airport security.
I then politely informed her that if the dog had to go, so did we—and I specifically asked if I’d be receiving a refund for the duration of the week I’d just paid for. She assured me I would, but I haven’t yet and no one has gotten back to me about it.
TL;DR: would not recommend! Especially as a “pet-friendly” choice!
It’s a good value—but at the end of the day, you get what...
Read moreThey kicked us out right before my wife had to go to her radiation treatment for breast cancer due to a misunderstanding about the room price even though we’ve had already been there for almost 2 weeks! My wife missed her radiation appointment for stage two breast cancer because of them!**
Terrible place because of management. They kept charging our credit cards with $7.76 fees and $20 with ZERO explanation of why or for what. When we would go and ask them they would all simply say “I don’t know just talk to the managers.” But yet they would always tell me the manager wasn’t there once I would actually say okay “let me talk to them” .
**As we were leaving with our stuff even though we tried to ask not to leave they didn’t care - the guy working then just bathed into our room while my wife was laying down waiting for checkout and tells us to leave now or the caps are coming - mind you, we did NOTHING WRONG besides disagree with what they wanted to start charging us even though the website says “the longer you stay the les you pay.” - false advertisement. The guy comes in hells at my wife to wake up - I tell him not tk speak to my wife like that. He then grabs our belongings and starts throwing them out is the room then he shuts the door behind us and locks himself in the room. Whole we are on the elevator leaving there is an employee in there with NO WORK BADGE pretending so be a customer staying there just so she can ease dropping on our conversation- right when we get to the first floor to leave she starts yelling at my wife calling her a weirdo bc she was napping and making fun of the fact she has breast-cancer by saying “maybe if you wasn’t like you are girl you won’t keep getting what you get in life!” Making fun of my wife’s cancer! Then an HOUR LATER hhey charge our cards $20 for NO REASON. We kept calling them wanting tk ask what the charges were for and they KEPT HANGING UP ON US or putting us on hold before they pickup the phone, laugh into into it, just to hang up.
This is the most disrespectful, unprofessional motel disguised as a hotel I have ever seen.
Drug dealers in and out of the parking lot all day all night. People fighting in the halls in front of others room doors. Cigarette and marijuana smells perforating the halls and lobby. No toilet paper. No towels unless you want to be charged. No breakfast. All attitude.
Never again and I DO NOT RECOMMEND...
Read moreThe service here is absolutely horrendous. Christy is a rude and obnoxious employee, with zero professionalism, no business ethics and no hospitality training whatsoever. I had the unfortunate experience of interacting with her here. ||I was in town for my daughter's (who is a minor) debate competition. I had booked a suite with two queen beds and a couch. The employee Saige told me that since the suite was occupied, they can offer us two rooms with queen beds. This was okay, I asked for the rooms to be next to each other since I was with my wife and my daughter so that we all could be together and my daughter wouldn't have to be completely alone. Saige agreed and assigned us two rooms next to each other and I gave my card information for her to complete that transaction. While all of this is happening, Christy gave to rooms to someone else and charged my card, Saige reprimanded her to which Christy replied snarkily that she was just doing her job. Now I was charged for rooms I did not get and so I asked that those rooms be given to me since I was charged, Christy at this point started mouthing off. They gave me rooms completely far off, charged me for them and Christy told me to either take the rooms or leave. At this point I called the manager (Marcus), who despite being on the premise did not bother to show his face. We waited 2 hours for him to show up. I||I sincerely hope that this review is given precedence and guests take this as a warning to avoid both Marcus and Christy. They need to be...
