Capitol Gyros — Restaurant in West Sacramento

Today I came in at 3:59pm pulled up to the speaker and asked the person on headset for what is there most popular gyro. The person on headset says "burger" I ask again for what is there most popular gyro which meat do people usually prefer that goes good with it. The guys answers "burger" I said again sir what is popular gyro not burger and he replied with "omg I told you it's the burgers" I then asked what usually comes in it and he told me what comes in a burger. So I thought maybe the speaker isn't working good or something when I came up the window I let him know what I was trying to say and he said well our burgers are the most popular and I asked what about the gyros he said just get any they all the same. I just stopped asking him because I know this ain't going anywhere he gave me my coke and it was filled with full Ice. I asked him to make it light ice and said that it was already light ice and closed the window on me. After I asked him nicely again he finally dumped some ice and added more coke. Very unprofessional and rude employee will not be coming back again. The previous owner was very nice and respectful and the employees were great now it seems like they just hired all the rude people. After I left the place and called the place to talk to manager Juan answered the phone and I told him that his customer service was very unprofessional he replied with go find another place then. WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE EVER!!...

I’ve picked up a few delivery orders here… I would never eat here after the experiences I’ve had. The main lady who cooks usually (bigger lady) always has attitude and so do the other girls that work in there. But the bigger lady is a lot ruder.

I’ve also noticed that every time I have gone in there, none of them Wear gloves, and they would handle the food (after it was cooked) with their bare hands. One day when I was picking up an order from there, I got sick of their mopey rude attitude and told Them they should be wearing gloves. And said, “1. It’s gross in general and 2. They should especially be wearing gloves because of Covid 19.” They replied with “we wash our hands” to which I replied, “your hands sweat”

It’s a health violation and I feel like reporting them to the health department if they don’t start wearing gloves… (also, they need to hire some people in there with better attitudes)

The food here smells really good and looks good, besides that lady’s bare dirty sausage fingers all over the burger. But I wouldn’t eat here until they started wearing gloves. Especially because of Covid 19 !!!

Here is an Edit for the owner… you can go ahead, I’ve stopped accepting orders from here because you have employees with nasty attitudes. Also, I’m going to make a report to the health department about you guys not wearing gloves.. it’s not safe because of COVID and it’s just gross...

Actual food, cooked on an actual grill. Real smoke and fire. Grilled to perfection. Steak fries, fried golden and crisp, lightly salted and bagged fresh. This is what a burger place should be. This is how a burger should taste. The staff is friendly, and know how to cook a good burger! From the exterior, it doesn't look like much, but this is a good, telling trait. It's not flashy, interior or exterior, but it is visible from the street. Once you enter this den of deliciousness, your olfactory is greeted by freshly cooking fries and grilled burgers with a hint of smoked meats. Walking up to the counter, you're greeted by a friendly staff member and a somewhat imposing menu. Not saying the menu is overcrowded, but that the options are all enticing and you need to pick just a couple items. For my own part, I will say that the #1 Hefty Burger is absolutely delicious. It is not a "dry" burger and you will make a mess if you're not careful. This is not a driver friendly burger! My wife received the #5 which is also a mess maker but is, in her words "amazeballs". Do not be put off by price, this is good food and I made out of there with 3 full meals for $30 which I'd happily pay again for this quality food. This is THE burger joint of West Sacramento.
