Smokin' Scoops — Restaurant in West Springfield

This is my second time going here and we went back because the ice cream is so good and a great quality. I went with my parents a four month old baby and a 10-year-old and my sister three staff members, the woman being the rudest, were there. We were the only ones when we walked in. This was not a crowded place at all. The negative reviews on this page speak to a woman, and I wonder if it is the same woman across the board as she definitely started this whole mess a nice Friday out with the family turns into a young woman, throwing an ice cream in anger because her male colleague presented new and kept making errors.

The young man taking care our order must've been new, but as he was taking it, the woman working, who is by far the rudest woman I have ever encountered in a restaurant, came over and looked at his screen and started to make some of our ice cream's. He had to delete the orders And start over because he messed up. She proceeded to make one of the ice cream's wrong so they redid it. Our third and last ice cream was also made wrong. He went over to her and said he messed up putting it in and she said that is with the monitor at the front of your register is four and a receipt which we did not get the order was for a s'mores ice cream with vanilla ice cream instead of chocolate something we requested because the person did not like chocolate ice cream and we had a whole conversation with the gentleman taking the orders that said it was not a problem to do it. She, however, having to make the ice cream again because he never put it down made it with chocolate and when we asked when they served it to us if it was with vanilla ice cream, he proceeded to argue with me. He said it comes with chocolate and I said we had a whole conversation about it being with vanilla and you're the one that suggested we could do it. She comes over, grabs the ice cream and throws it in the trash right in front of us very aggressively. I have never seen anything like this before. We then said at this point, never mind we don't want the ice cream and went back over to feed the kids and get out of there. He told me that it is my job to read the front of the screen when he is ordering it because he didn't even charge us for it because he deleted the order which made no sense, this infuriated me that I am wrong because I did not read his screen in this restaurant. Mind you while ordering he had to delete our orders three times and even told his woman colleague that he made the mistake but the staff in this restaurant continue to say it is the customers job to make sure we check their work which I find very hard to believe, I will never step foot in this place again, and in all fairness, the woman that proceeded to throw the ice cream she made in the trash with an attitude really threw the guy upfront under the bus. This is definitely not a team does appear to be a bunch of teenagers running a restaurant in the evening on a Saturday night into the ground. It is too bad because this place has the best keto ice cream around, and it was a hidden gem that I recommended to many people that will not happen again...

This will be the first and last time my family and I will go to Smokin Scoops. On Saturday, April 22 at 8:30, we received the worst customer service from the employee taking our order. The four of us, two kids, were trying to figure out what to get. It was very clear us taking our time to decipher the ice cream combinations was annoying to the employee. Then when we had a question, she had a face to stop a clock. I would hope will such different flavors and options your employees would be helpful to explain and give the customer time to choose. We did not feel this way- her attitude was terrible and we barely got an explanation on anything. Then once we ordered, she had to ask me three times about who was getting a cone or not. The kids even noticed it. But we stayed, got our order, and then realized she charged me for a crepe cone when I only asked for kiddie cones. This employee gives your small business a really bad name. The other girl working to make the ice cream orders looked very similar, not wanting to be there. We know it was before closing time. We get it that you don’t want too many people coming through the door at 8:30 when you close at 9:00. At least fake it. We will...

I really don't enjoy leaving 1 star reviews, but I have nothing good to say about this place. Ordered a "three scoop" S'mores sundae for almost $10. Price seemed a bit high, but I figured if it's a great sundae, it's worth it. It wasn't. Asked for hot fudge, young server kinda rudely says it comes with it. I see others picking up their one scoop, which looked good sized, so I felt better thinking mine would be three scoops THAT size. What I got (see Pic) was only slightly bigger than the one scoop, maybe a scoop and a half. Hot fudge not even on it, and maybe a quarter of a graham cracker. Ice cream DID taste good, but no better than other local spots. The fact that server interrupted me to tell me it comes with hot fudge, but doesn't put any on it is almost comical. Almost, I wasn't laughing. Only positive thing I could say is it looked clean in there, but I'd rather go to dirty Liquori's and get a scoop that's less than half the price, and is equally good. IF the server was at least polite, I'd give another star, but you could just tell she hated her (likely first) job. Save your money, this is highway robbery, with a cherry on top.
