Updated 4/13/2024 I had to update this review as Gold Chopstick has new owners (~last 6 months) and unfortunately the service has gone downhill. Aside from changing how some of the food is made ...for the worse in our opinion, on take-out orders they have left out items that we ordered and were charged for and have just given us the wrong items. Now if they gracefully fixed these issues, I would have less of an issue with them, but the last time we ordered, they shorted us two egg rolls and argued with my wife that they had not charged us for them despite the receipt showing otherwise. They also give us pork fried rice instead of pork lo mein...again correct on the receipt, but not what was in the bag and finally we ordered General's chicken and a Sesame chicken , but both were General's chicken, one had a few sesame seeds on it, but was still much spicier than it should have been. The counter person adamantly argued that they had fulfilled the order correctly and was bit rude about it. I am sorry to see this all happen and maybe they can fix their issues going forward, but in the mean time, we are looking for a new local Chinese food take out place.
We order from Gold Chopstick about once a month and aside from a few mix-ups in one or two orders (quickly corrected by the people behind the counter) we have enjoyed their food. Always check your order before you leave the restaurant and just go pick it...
Read moreWe were excited that a restaurant near our hotel offered vegan options. We ordered on their Uber Eats menu under Vegan cuisine. When the food arrived, it was real meat. We called the restaurant. The lady who answered wanted to debate with me that it wasn’t their fault because on their end it said we ordered regular entrees. I tried to explain to her that clearly something was wrong with their menu’s interface because the vegan options displayed on our end that we chose were not translating on their end. She asserted again that it wasn’t their fault. She claimed they only saw regular meat orders when we specifically ordered vegan. She refused to take accountability for the fact that there was clearly a problem with their UberEats menu. She then told us to request a refund on UberEats and she would make the vegan food we want and send it back out. When the driver arrived, he wanted payment from us. I called the restaurant back and explained there must be a misunderstanding bc she never spoke about having to repay when she said she would redeliver it. Afterall, if their Ubereats menu was working properly, it wouldn’t have us select vegan options and then show the restaurant non vegan options. SMH. Read moreI have ordered numerous times from here because they deliver and I am staying in a hotel close by. customer service is not very good. They got my order incorrect and forgot items. I decided to be cool about it, Instead of having them fix it and bring my drink that I paid for, I called them told them about the mistake, I insisted that I didn’t want them to go out of there way to fix it and send driver back so close to closing. They said they would take care of me the following time I placed an order. I called back two days later to place another order and was offered my drink for free only. A drink that I payed for two days earlier and never received. Nothing else for Messing up the previous order, not a discount nothing!! They didn’t really believe me, she said she couldn’t just take my word for it. She looked at the notes and all it said was that they didn’t bring my drink. The place is not even that good! Customer service is dead now of days, they want to get you off the phone before your even done ordering. I just told them to keep the drink, I refuse to continue giving money to businesses who don’t appreciate there customers. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THIS LOCATION...
