I will never return to this location ever again after what I experienced a few weeks ago. I have also told my coworkers, many of which who also will no longer eat there.
I attempted to contact the store right after the incident, but could not get through. On two separate occasions in the following days I sent complaints in through the website, but all I got were canned "Thank you for your feedback" responses.
Since they have not wanted to answer me, I am now placing the contents of my complaint here This incident occurred on January 7, 2020. In the interests of avoiding anyone confronting the particular employee personally, I have omitted their physical description.
This past Tuesday at 11:30AM I went for lunch at Subway at 1329 Riverdale St. I ordered a chopped turkey salad which was made by the employee referenced in this email.
At approximately 11:40 while eating there, I heard a sneeze. I looked up and saw the single employee was bent over to their right, directing an uncovered sneeze in the general direction of the front food prep counter and uncovered vegetables. They had food in both hands (looked like they was separating cheese) and made no effort to cover up during the sneeze.
As they came back up, they made absolutely no movement to wipe their nose, the counter, the floor, or wash up in any way; instead, they continued right back with separating slices of food. In less than a minute, I witnessed them sneeze twice more, each time leaning to their right and making no effort to cover their mouth, each time in the spray radius of the food prep counter and vegetables. Even after the third time, they didn't wash up! They went right on with handling the food they never put down. I was so dumbfounded by they actions, I couldn't even speak up at the time; I was too busy dealing with my suddenly-turning stomach. I dumped my remaining food out and left in disgust.
I tried calling for a manager later that day but could not get through, so I sent a message to their corporate office on their website. Last night i received a canned message basically saying, "Thanks for your email, we'll forward it on, hope to see you again soon."
You can be certain I won't be going back there. I certainly have no faith in their...
Read moreThis is the best Subway restaurant I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. My favorite sandwich artist there, Marius, is PHENOMENAL! He really makes the difference when it comes to my lunch selection.
I must share one negative experience however. A co-worker of mine ordered a foot long cold cut grinder. Much to his surprise, the only turkey-based meat on the sandwich was bologna. My co-worker refused to eat a foot-long bologna sandwich because he is not ten years old anymore. He went on a rampage, verbally attacking everyone in his presence; some of us were afraid he was going to get physical and even attack us with his foot-long bologna sandwich. This co-worker was changed forever from this incident; I am still waiting for the jubilation return to him, but it has been 6 months and he is still a very cold man...cold like a cold cut combo...
Read moreHow to start..... I went to this location today and .well let's start with the service. 0 stars They made Snyde remarks under there breath and we were not rude before during or after. They refused a gentleman in his 60s to make his sandwich the way he wanted . My wife ordered a sandwich that had sandwich meat ,lettus tomato bacon and mayo. It only was allowed three pieces of bacon and mayo. Nothing else . When being told this is the norm for there company service plan I'm disgusted and don't see any reason for anyone to spend there hard earned money at this location . If subway reads these at all fire your crew here and rehire, let me know...
