Tokyo Asian Cuisine Sushi Hibachi Steakhouse & Bar — Restaurant in West Springfield

The food is good depending the chef unfortunately but service definitely needs work and need to start Making people aware of extra charges. I made reservations for a party of 15 for a birthday party n it definitely could of went way better! Due to how big the party was we needed 2 different cooks and grills unfortunately only 6 people out of the party were happy with their food the other 9 were not due to how salty their food was, some of them also didn't get wat they ordered and when they tried to communicate that they were just told they didn't ask for it and it was left at that. All the issues I brought to one of the servers were responded with a, "it doesn't matter" or a "ok" but nothing done to resolve our issues. The manager was able to assist me with one issue which I appreciated but overall it was a big disappointment. They didn't give anyone refill we had 2 ask to then later find out on the bill they charge for refills (but waters werent even refilled until asked), they charge to take home the sauces giving at the tables, they didn't offer to go plates I had to ask them, tip already comes added in which I don't mind tipping at all but if I had bad service I should have the option to leave what I feel is fit based on the service i received, and I just don't like that they don't take accountability, they're quick to give you the check but avoid resolving any/all issues that occurr there is no "cistomers always right" here not even when in fact they are right. Our family and friends said they will not be returning. The female server did a good job and did wat she could to help which is why i didn't put less stars, but unfortunately the male did terrible and did everything to avoid actually helping us. His only concern was cashing out our check smh. We brought alot of business and spent alot of money to just leave upset...

Hello. This review is to simply bring awareness to that fact that on two separate occasions I had to deal with racism, and being stereotyped because of the color of my skin. I’m sure this won’t stop people from eating here, but i hope it’ll at least open your eyes. The first instance was with me and my 2 children (party of 3) we dined in for hibachi, once presented with the check there was a gratuity already added. So I asked the Caucasian women that was also accompanied by her two children, did she have gratuity added on? She replied no. I brought it to the attention of the staff and manager and was met with excuses of “we have to tip the bartender” “we have tip the chef.” Etc etc. When clearly that’s not the case. Fast forward to last night, my boyfriend and I(party of 2) dined in for hibachi, again we’re presented with the check and it has gratuity added. So I wait until the Caucasian couple and their child sitting next to us gets their check. I ask them “Is there gratuity added to your check?” Which they reply “No.” I alert the person who presented us our check (not our waitress she was all of a sudden missing) and inquire about the gratuity. I’m met with the same bogus explanation, but this time they claim to add it to everyone’s check. That’s clearly untrue. I ask for the manager (they never come). In the end I will no longer dine there, this has now happened twice. That’s no coincidence. My boyfriend and I tip very well and when we’re not people profiled. Unfortunate for them they got a big fat goose egg for their actions. I’m sure we won’t be the last people they do this to , but at least now people can be aware. For me to make a review it 100% bothered me. I’m I good person and I don’t deserve (or anyone) to be treated that way by an establishment that I’m choosing to spend...

Went here the service wasn’t there at all my cup was empty for a while until the server finally came over she looked half asleep didn’t introduce herself barley even spoke a word with a frown on her face made me and my girl uncomfortable a lot she kept looking over at us to pressure us to eating quicker to leave faster just overall a horrible experience so we left 0.00 TIP because we didn’t like the service as we’re walking out we have this chinese server chasing us down to our car yelling at us lYOU LEAVE NO TIP” me hardly hearing what she’s saying walks over to her asking her what’s going on she says I need to leave her a tip because that’s my job and she won’t get money if I leave her no TIP and starts explaining to me how I need to pay her wage and the owner doesn’t compensate her enough for her work I explained to her the service wasn’t good at all and I’m not obligated to tipping you anything she said something in chinese to me and went back inside I wish I can make this up with the running and yelling over no TIP because she didn’t do a GOOD JOB!!! overall never returning here again I wouldn’t recommend anyone who wants to feel pressured into tipping and feel like a eye is always watching over your shoulder in a bad way making you and your people feel uncomfortable stay away from this place first time dining here was absolutely horrible explains why there was almost nobody...
