Donut Dip in West Springfield. I have never been to the Donut Dip until today September 14, 2024. Friends of ours had a birthday party for their 2 boys and they are big fans of the Donut Dip. They live in Connecticut so I do not know when and how they ever had anything from Donut Dip. Since I live in Chicopee and I already told them I was coming to the party with my family, they asked if I could pick up the cake. I said, dude, it's a donut place, not a cake place. He replied, they make cakes and their are sooooo good. I said, whatever. I don't think so but then again I've never been there so I don't know. He said, trust me it's awesome. So I said, yes I can pick anything up for you. Later he texted me that the cake was ordered and ready to go for the pick up around 2pm today. We arrived and I went in there and freaked the ladies out I think there. I commented, I've never been here before. And I am here to get a BELLY BUSTER cake. They replied, We don't have any. I was somewhat surprised but I went a little further, I said, it's for friends named __. Oh, she said, this name? I said, that's it. I was shocked by the cost. So reasonable for a giant DONUT! My friend was correct! It was a giant donut, with frosting on it and with a special message on it written in frosting! WoW! The ladies showed us the cake and then taped the box back together. We took off and kept the cake safe from tipping. When we arrived 30 minutes later, we were the talk of the party since I kept reminding everyone of the donut cake we brought. They were all very thankful and by the time we left, a few hours later, I went in to the house to get a piece of cake and there were literally 3 pieces left. I grabbed a piece and tried it. It was like a delicious cake like donut. Amazing! Thanks DONUT DIP! You made a great birthday even better and you might have just made a...
Read moreThe donuts are delicious. If that's your priority, go for it. I can't blame you for that. But the owner of this place is not so palatable. I was accidentally double charged $20 for my order. I asked them politely, for the mistake to be fixed. I Believe his name was Paul. Who came out annoyed and barking for my receipt. I explained I didn't have it, that I literally just ordered and... he barked some more. I offered to explain what had happened , that I had paid cash and my card was charged but this was too much for Paul to have to listen to. He printed off the cash machine tape and shoved the proof of being charged in my face. I said "yes. Exactly. And then I paid $20 cash because the machine said error..." he then grumbled about "that might have been nice if someone gave that information.' I would have if I had been given a chance. The girl working probably did. But i have a feeling Paul doesn't like to listen. He likes to bark and look important. But Paul knows all, is annoyed that I dare ask to not pay twice for an order, that was no fault of my own. I feel sorry for every worker in that shop. You could tell they were ALL nervous and staying far away. I'm sure he is a tyrant all the time, and that "it is busy" was a poor excuse to cover up his lack of customer skills. I get it, you want donuts. To all the females working there, run. You do not have to work in those conditions. You deserve resect . Not having to worry about whenPaul is going to snap. Which I'd be willing to bet ,is...
Read moreI've come here for years every Saturday after payday. I'm a hard working mother of 3 and my kids love their donuts. I had a painfully bad experience there today where I felt so disrespected and discriminated on to say the least. I was putting through a phone transfer fo submit my payment and the man at the end of the counter was watching his worker like a hawk. She understood what I was doing and was ok but it almost seemed like he was disgusted with my and my 5 year old daughters presence. He rudely kept repeating what is the hold up. It was a span of no more than two minutes and the store was not full. There were other registers open and no need for him to make me feel the way he did. I have absolute mixed feelings about ever coming back here as I sit in this parking lot. My daughter just lost her father a few days ago and we did not need anything short of kind service. I am sure he probably wishes my type would never walk into his store again... At the end of the day they make enough money not to need mine. But wow I am beyond brokenhearted at how humanity has become so openly hateful towards certain races. May God ever forgive you for the way you treated me and my beautiful daughter today. ...
