Yeung's House — Restaurant in West View

i absolutely love this place. i lived in west view for most of my life and we usually went to chan's or called out to china sea for our chinese food until yeung's opened a few years ago and after that there's been no reason to go anywhere else. their food is great, their portions are big and the prices are great. recently i moved to emsworth and house of lee is a stones throw away and after trying their food a couple times when i was desperate i will drive the 10-15 minutes to and from west view to get the right food at the right price and not have to screw around with coupons to feel like i'm getting a good deal. a lunch special here is cheaper than most of the meals at burger king.

2025 Update: I still order from here regularly and almost everything I loved about this place is still great. I do have to say that the egg rolls that come with the lunch specials have not been as good as they once were. They used to be so good but lately they have been a bit soggy. Yeung's is a dive located near Westview, not far from Pittsburgh, PA.

Parking situation was bad. Only one other customer was in there waiting for her take out and yet all of the parking spaces were occupied!

Dining area is closed to the public. Two tables remain for those waiting for take out or for the rare people who want to eat there.

I ordered my food and then waited at one of the tables. I audibly said, "Ew. Gross." Tables were dirty. Stains, crumbs, handprints, and smears on the tables. It looks like they haven't been cleaned in weeks. Doors and windows were dirty as well. All around, not clean.

Food was edible but slightly less than average. I ordered the lunch General Tso's chicken with wonton soup. General Tso's was not served with broccoli. Soup did not have green onions. No frills and no thrills.

Lunch specials are under $9 so that's not bad considering the high costs of literally...

We have been looking for a Chinese restaurant that uses no MSG and has great food. Well we have found probably the best in the area with great quality and reasonable prices.

Called in the order, was advised would be ready in 20 minutes. Got there and our feast was packaged and ready. The Customer Service was great, the place is clean and they follow the Covid rules.

The shrimp Mei Fun was packed with large shrimp, tasted really good. I asked for spicy and they did not disappoint. We also got the house special rice, hot and sour soup and added spring rolls. We also ordered hot and spicy combo meal and a tofu Lo Mein combo meal. These come with pork fried rice and an egg roll.
