Waitress was a hard worker and did an amazing job. My Fiancé ordered Grilled Salmon Filet and was brought a steak. Due to covid guidelines nationally, no restaurant is supposed to take uneaten or wrong food to the kitchen. So the waitress apologized and put the correct order in. Steak was left on the table. My finance ate a few bites of it. The manager sent the waitress out to collect the steak on a saucer. The steak only. Not the potato or veggies. She should of took the whole plate since covid guidelines were already being violated. The manager directed her to do this. He was so worried that my fiancé would eat the steak even though it was NOT ordered, that he only took it off the plate. Common sense you take the whole plate because the potato and veggies would get cold. The manager then had the nerve to come out and look at my fiancé and state, looks like you worked on that steak. This really upset my fiancé. He was hungry due to sitting with me at the hospital all day from my surgery. He got his salmon and we just boxed our food because the manager kept being coy and arrogant. We left. I had not eaten food in several days and only had clear broth, due to the procedure I was having. I’m going to take this incident further. With the prices a consumer is charged, they should get the food they ordered and at least treated...
Read moreMet up for my daughter's fiancee graduation we had a big party as well . The place was really busy with bigger groups . Our server was really energetic and cheery older lady , she actually had a very unhappy table next to us and the moment we sat down they started complaining loudly .They were rude the entire time until we left. I felt pretty bad for her having to deal with them we could actually hear them complaining about anything even the duck waste on the deck. Our table had a nice tim. Everything we ordered was good , appetizers came out quick , she recommended the spinach artichoke dip , bruschetta and calamari and boy was it good and enough for our group! The salads and soups came out next and then we waited a good 35-40 minutes for our food to come out next. She was bringing out bread and and very apologetic about our wait times. Some of us didn't want to sit around waiting listening to her other table constantly complaining about those same things. Our food arrived and it was tasty, Salmon and Crab cakes were great, cooked perfectly she also recommended the double baked potato, very good. It would have been nice to have some more affordable choices on the graduation menu and not have a 400 bill but over all I will still recommend and still come back when visiting them, look forward to enjoying other items off the...
Read moreLake House sits nestled in a quiet cove on Cheat Lake. It's in a nice location, surrounded by a marina, from which you can rent kayaks, paddleboards, launch your boat, etc. They have a very large dining room and outdoor seating (covered and uncovered). My experiences here have been hit-or-miss, usually relating to the service. I can't really attest as to whether their seafood is fresh (just not savvy enough), though the last time we were in, there were definitely shrimp and scallop-centric specials to be had. Their other food, such as burgers, chicken hoagies, kids' pizza, etc. appears to be frozen and about what you'd get pre-prepared from a food supplier. It's fine, really, it tastes good and is presented well. I only bring it up because the last time we were in, my wife, son, and I waited over 45 minutes for food, and they weren't terribly busy. Other times have been sluggish, too, and I legitimately have to ask why. My only other complaint is about the salads. $3 to upgrade from fries, $5 for one on its own when my son decides he wants one, too. Mind you, these are small dinner plates-worth of salad. Not worth what's being charged IMHO, and feels a little like nickel-and-diming. But on the positive side, they have a varied menu, a good ambiance and location, and a decent...
