Quaint little place could use a makeover upgrade perhaps. So if your afraid of less glitzy prolly stay home, just saying. But that said they are one of the last buffet holdouts in the area. I go for lots of the shrimp worth the $10 really. just get there by at least 8 theyre closing a bit early due to covids hours and people not goign out as much sad. One the take outside theyre just as good. I have go tos i try at chinese places liked it all was surprised theyre egg foo young gravy was sweeter than im used to but still good. They make nice cheese sweet crab rangoon. And the peking style boneless spare ribs threw me off at first, but they were on point with the flavor will have to buy those again. I thought i had been given something else but just my bad for not opening the package to check what it was .
On the buffet they also have a crab salad cassarol. hot good stuff, reminds me of crab salad only warm and cheesey on top.
Plus they were super nice. See I get off at 9 pm and they usually close by 9 during the week. So I ordered online and asked if they could give me at most 15 minutes after 9 to get there I only live like 5-10 minutes away. They waited after hours for me which was super nice since 75% of all places now close at 9 or 10 it makes eating out or delivery tough. Thank you all you are most appreciated.
Im a fan now. And really the owners are very nice.
In fact im thinking chinese tonight...
Read more2 times a week if possible...the place doesnt have curb appeal and it could use some updating but as far as the food goes.....YUMMY.....My husband and I still go here regularly and get take out. You can order off the menu or get the buffet. For Togo orders they have takeout cartons for you to serve yourself from the buffet. It is weighed and you are charged by the lb. Not sure exactly how much per pound it is however it's cheaper at lunch then at dinner but even then it's cheap. We get 2 containers 1 for each of us fill it up with what we want and in average for both of us we pay $25.00. Not to mention both get extra in our take out container to have it for dinner that evening AND to warm up the next day for another full meal. Like I said were hooked lol. We will go 2 times a week sometimes and do the same. The staff is great they know what we get and they aim to please. They will check the bar when they see us come to make sure our favorite items are plentiful. Now there are days we go and IMO the regular chef isnt there so some items appear to be spicier or a little more rich then normal. But that's the worst thing I can think of to say...
Read moreAfter 17 years of good food here, no more.
I arrived right after lunch about 230pm on a Friday..A boy sat me, a gal was cleaning tables. Neither said a simple hello nor did they check in with me to see how I was doing until I had to walk to the register to pay because no check ever came.
Soups were gelatinous masses, barely warm. Spring and egg rolls had that metallic 'offtaste'. Most else was lukewarm at best, very few had my memories of hot Chinese comfort food. When I am eating cold American Summer salads at a Chinese Buffet, there is something seriously wrong. So dissapointed!
I will give this place a generous 2 stars because we have had their takeout since lockdown and it's been super. We will order a small takeout and visit one more time for the buffet, like at 11:30am when the food hopefully coming out fresh and possibly hot. Then maybe I can edit this review.
Anybody have suggestions for another Chinese takeout...
