Wanted to write a good review of this place stopped because they have the label Master Jewelers. I needed my earrings reglued as one of the pearls came free of the setting. When I got my earrings back that was so much glue where they were adhered to the setting it looked sloppy and I wanted it re- done so as to not see the huge sloppy glob of glue. Said something to the guy about it and he took it in back and came back out. they were a little bit busy as this was a couple days before Valentines. Looked at them quickly and ask the guy if he had just cleaned up the glue with acetone his reply was YES. Looking at them on the way home I saw tool marks in the glue where he dug out the epoxy and had Not in fact clean them up with acetone. There was also cut marks on my pearls from whatever tool he used. since he cut the epoxy out that meant my earrings were no longer adhered to the setting as each cut pushed the Pearl away from the setting and epoxy. an once again there were cut marks on my pearls .went back up there immediately and pulled him to the side so no one heard what I was saying to him .he said that he would fix them .I had already paid for it so I let him take my earrings to fix them .I came back the next day and got them he didn't tell me he was sorry about cutting my pearls , nothing. if he had simply it just apologized 4 lying to me I wouldn't have even written this post. Very shady business. These earrings were very special to me as I am a widow and they are from my first wedding. I don't even know what to do about the cut Marks in My pearls I know that they're there. I am afraid to wear them I just don't trust their workmanship now. I will take them to Kay's Jewelers and have them do the work as I have always gotten excellent customer service from them. I'm really put off by the fact that the guy didn't apologize or offer to buff out the cuts in my pearls which I'd let him know that I had seen. A master Jeweler would NOT leave a big sloppy glob of epoxy. A master Jeweler would NOT have put multiple Cuts in my pearls. A master Jeweler would have known that using a tool to dig out epoxy was going to push the earring away from the setting and the epoxy with each cut. I even showed this man the courtesy of pulling him to the side so other customers know about the damage and shoddy craftsmanship I paid for. I don't even know if the cuts in my pearls can be buffed out? This should have been simple to reglue pearls . Now I'm left with damaged jewelry. That is in worse condition than I brought it in. Before my earring just came loose from the setting now there are multiple Mars in the side of the pearls. Which I had...
Read moreWe went in on a Saturday to look at engagement rings. Our 12th anniversary as boyrfriend/girlfriend was coming up the following weekend. We spent at least an hour looking at the selection available and at settings that could be ordered. Kelly Bechdel is a wonderful person and great to deal with. She was so patient with me and I know I had to be getting annoying, but keep in mind I had waited 12 years for this ring so I wanted it to be perfect! Lord only knows when or if I will get the "next step" ring! I was looking for something in yellow gold with a marquise center stone. There was one I really liked, but it was in white gold. Kelly checked into a few things and said they could get it in yellow gold and have it there later that week.
We returned on a Thursday evening (kept them there after hours) and again, Kelly was so patient and helpful. I happened to notice a ring in the case I didn't remember seeing that previous Saturday. I asked Kelly if I could see it. It just sparkled so beautifully! This ring was white gold and had round diamonds in a yellow goldprong setting. I continued to look through a few books, but kept going back to the complete opposite ring of what I was wanting. This ring was just so stunning! We joked about how long I have waited for a ring so I wanted to make sure I picked one that I loved. Kelly assured me she wouldn't let me leave with one I wasn't thrilled about. We flipped some more pages and I slipped the white gold, round diamond ring on my finger again. It has accent diamonds on the top and bottome of the band around the main setting--and they all sparkle so beautifully!
Finally, I decided this was the ring for me. We both liked it and he like the price tag so it was a win-win. Kelly's brother, Dave, had to size it for me. The very next day, I had the most beautiful ring on my finger! I cannot thank Kelly enough for her patience with me, her great service, her advice, everything! Kelly and Dave are truly the best!!! Very nice people and the only ones I would trust with such a huge commitment...
