Blazes Burgers – Is this the best burger spot in all of Maine? 📍861 Main St, Westbrook, ME 04092
If you're a burger lover on the hunt for bold flavors and unique toppings, Blazes Burgers just might be your holy grail. This Westbrook gem is known for its stacked burger menu, and after trying a few of their specialties, I can see why locals are obsessed.
We tried three different burgers:
🍔 The Pesto Burger – A 6 oz fresh patty topped with creamy pesto and your choice of cheese. Pro tip: take the kitchen's advice and add tomato for a refreshing bite that cuts through the richness. As a pesto fanatic, this one hit all the right notes for me—herby, savory, and perfectly messy. Definitely my personal fave.
🔥 Crack Cheeseburger – The name doesn’t lie. This beast comes loaded with grilled onions, bacon, your preferred cheese, and a feisty feta spread that brings just the right kick. Rich, indulgent, and absolutely unforgettable.
🧀 Black and Blue Burger – Bacon, grilled onions, sweet bourbon sauce, and blue cheese crumbles all on a brioche bun. The sweet-savory combo is magic, and the blue cheese gives it a gourmet edge.
The crack sauce deserves its own shoutout—creamy, a little spicy, and totally addictive. Pair any burger with their fries or tots and you’ve got yourself a seriously satisfying meal.
✨ Rating: 8/10 A strong contender for Maine’s best burger, no doubt. The menu is creative, the execution solid, and the flavors linger in the best way. Whether you're a pesto person like me or all about the boldness of blue cheese, Blazes has something for you.

Read moreOk where do I start….. first of all, all the hype is true.. that was a damn good burger!! The crack cheeseburger and bacon&blue burgers were unbelievable. They were huge, the bun fit the burger (I hate when restaurants pile a ton of toppings onto a burger and then put it on a small, thin bun) had that perfect crispy grilled buttery goodness with an amazing crunch. The feta cheese spread was so interesting and delicious, I had never experienced a feisty feta before and now it’s the only way I want to eat feta. The bacon&blue (I hope I have the name right) was so well executed. They didn’t try to reinvent the wheel with the classic combo but the sauce on it set it apart from others I’ve had taking it from ordinary to extraordinary. I had fries and tots and they were both cooked and salted perfectly. They held their crisp until I got home (I walked home, about a quarter mile). And to top it off, two great burgers, with premium toppings, and a good portion of fries/tots only cost me $22. Can’t beat that with a stick! Oh, and the woman who took my order was fantastic! So friendly, great sense of humor, and her suggestions were right on! Overall amazing!! Thank...
Read moreStopped by for my first time today and was not disappointed. We ordered a couple of small cheeseburgers, onion rings, and an order of poutine. I'll start with the pricing, which was refreshing in an area where it's hard to spend less than $30 on a meal for 2. We spent $16 and had too much food for the 2 of us to finish. Great value there. The poutine was delightful, and it was a large portion. The onion rings were some of the best we've ever had! The only minor complaint I would have was that the burger patty was a little under seasoned for how I usually prefer, but it was delicious nonetheless. It's the customer service that has me leaving this review though, because it was exceptional! The boy at the counter was courteous, but it was the chef or owner/manager that stood out. He came out to every table to make sure everyone was satisfied with their foods, and to check if they needed anything. This is something I expect at a more upscale restaurant, but it's not typical for a burger joint. I think it added a level of personality to the place that makes me want to...
