Best Business Meeting Ever.
I went with a colleague of mine to The Meow Lounge for a chance to spend some time with adorable felines and to support the amazing work being done here to help foster and find homes for shelter cats around Maine. Boy, do I wish I had made time to come sooner.
I brought my stuff with the intention of at least discussing projects with my colleague. Did any actual work get done? Nope. Did we play "chase the toy" for fifty straight minutes with an energetic ball of cuddly, furry chaos disguised as a kitten? You bet your keister we did!
If you've been thinking about visiting but haven't gotten around to it, go. Go right now. Go play with kittens, snuggle with some couch potato cats, or just kick back and enjoy the scenery as others engage in all the joy that only felines can bring. Even if you don't plan on adopting for whatever reason, helping to socialize the cats plays a huge role in helping them find forever homes.

Read moreWhat a beautiful experience. 🥰 My family and I were able to connect with the Meow Lounge, thanks to several suggestions from area kiddos recommending this spot. Special thanks to everyone who helped us through the application process, we were able to meet our new fur baby.
We spent an hour hanging with the kittens and kitties, and by the end of that hour, we had no less then 4 we wanted from bring home! It took a little bit to get through the application- which I fully understand and appreciate. There is soft spa music playing, and library voices setting on noise, for the good of the kitties. It made for a very relaxing and comforting environment.
I look forward to recommending this spot to everyone I know (wait- they do BIRTHDAY PARTIES?!) because it's a small slice of heaven for...
