Nothing Bakes Like a Parrott — Restaurant in Westbrook

Jessica baked us a fantastic tasting, beautifully decorated three-tiered cake for our wedding on Peaks Island and it was delivered without incident (this whole delivery to an island thing was difficult for many of our vendors to figure out!) Jessica was really nice during our tasting ~6 months before the wedding and provided samples of roughly 10 different cake and icing combinations. The pricing for the cake was reasonable as well.

Most importantly, the cake tasted fabulous! Every guest that I spoke to also mentioned how much they enjoyed the cake! I've been to some weddings where the cake was just a side thought, but this cake was a hit!

My wife called Jessica three weeks before the wedding and asked if she could create a cake of our dog Lincoln. He wasn't going to be in the wedding but we wanted him to be there in spirit so she got me a Groom's cake and it turned out awesome! She sent her a couple pictures and Jessica went to work. Everyone thought it was awesome! We ate this cake for our 4th of July party and it tasted great a month later.

We used Jessica for our wedding cake baker on December 3rd and were very happy with our experience. From the moment that I first got in touch with her, Jessica was very nice, professional and so easy to work with! She asked me a lot of good questions to figure out what we wanted the style of our cake to be and also had some great ideas as well. The tasting went great as well, she gave us cupcakes to take home and try. She even gave us a few extra cupcakes as well which was very nice of her. We had originally hired her when our wedding was going to be in Maine. Due to unforeseen circumstances we had to move our wedding to New Hampshire and she very nicely delivered our cake to our venue. I cannot thank her enough for doing that, it meant so much to us! The cake was super yummy as well! Very upset!! Booked cake over a year and half out- paid in full. Covid happened and we lost money due to lack of work. We had to cancel our wedding due to lack of money. Contacted for refund. Took over 3 weeks to get a response and was still refused full refund. We will only get half of what we paid back, not the deposit, on top of that, we paid with a card and were told refund would take place within 30 days...I have yet to get refund or know when it will take place exactly. Canceling due to Covid, and over a year out from the booked date, is plenty of time to fill with other weddings. This is not a good way to conduct business in unforeseen circumstances. Communication goes a long way and makes customer feel confident in the company. I will not be recommending this company, or re- booking with them, should we find we are in a better place to get a wedding...
