Midway Pizza House — Restaurant in Westerly

Only gave it 1 star so i can write my review. I ordered a pizza with onions & sausage because my husband does not care for peppers. Pizza comes, it's peppers & sausage. i called back, just to make sure I ordered it right. The girl goes i have no idea, i wrote down what you said Well, that's why I was calling to ask what i said. Duh. She precedes to make up a story about how she even asked me what kind of pepper and said i said green. Absolutely no way i would've said green, if anything i would've said Red roasted. So i know she's lying. Why I had a perfect experience at Midway Pizza? I shared a "soupy" pie for the first time ever (with banana peppers as is customary apparently) and loved it. Soupy is the local sopressata. I am a picky pizza eater and strongly prefer NY style pies, which this was. Also what made it stand out were the condiments available- unlike most New England style pizzerias that put out grated Parm and red pepper flakes and call it a day, Midway offers granulated garlic, oregano, and red pepper flakes.

We were coming from the beach and the seating outside was great for the weather out. Be aware, they have no public restroom however, they do have a very clean (shockingly) porta potty out back. I have been there twice in last 2 months and I was let down both times. First time I got a pizza with extra cheese and it was way over cooked. I like to eat the crust but I could get any of it as it was just to hard. My husband loved it but I had to make something else for dinner that night. I went there today with my mom and got 3 grinders. I got the cheeseburger grinder with light lettuce no tomatoes with extra mayo. When I got home 10 mins later I opened took a bite and spit it right out. The burger was so dried out it was like it sat out over night. I will not be going back any time soon.
