I would give this Dairy Queen ZERO stars but that is not an option, but "hated it" is a good start. Their customer service is not good. I went in to get a cake for 9 year old twins birthday. They asked if I would like something written on the cake. Naturally, 9 year olds like to see their names on the cake so I asked for Happy birthday with the children's names on it. I spelled one name about 4 times, as it is a slightly different spelling, yet not too different, It is R-O-B-B-E-E versus the more traditional R-O-B-B-I-E. The young man who was to write the greeting just could NOT wrap his head around the spelling. Then he decides to slightly make fun of the non-traditional spelling and insult my knowledge of the English language in choosing the spelling by asking "Does the English language EVEN work that way?" I looked at him a little surprised and then just took my money and walked out. I DO NOT appreciate being looked down on by a 16 year old that has very little knowledge of human respect and how to just be friendly and assist a customer who is about to pay $24 for a cake make of ice cream!!!!
He needs a lesson in human decency, but more importantly customer service!! I grew up about 5 blocks from this Dairy Queen. I am older than I care to admit but have been going to that location forever. I will NOT ONLY NOT go back I will tell LOTS of people of my experience. Customer service is deplorable everywhere these days, this will be added to a long list of places that I will tell my clients to not go to as well.... And for the record, please share with the young man that decorates the cakes I have a bachelors degree AND a masers degree, I am QUITE familiar with how the English language works.
After working in management and training multiple associates to interact with the public I hope that he will be coached and re-trained on how to speak with customers and...
Read moreFirst of all, it is hard to figure out how to get into the drive thru. I followed the signs but I couldn't find how you got in line. So I went inside and it was filled with unruly youths. They were everywhere and bumped into me like they had no idea anyone else was there. I placed and paid for my order. I have ordered blizzards, for 25yrs and it's always been given to me in a cup that has dome on top where you can put the spoon through. I was given a drink cup with a place for a straw. I asked for the dome top and was told, no that's only for milkshakes. You drink a milkshake through a straw and you eat a blizzard with a spoon. That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. I have never received a blizzard without a dome top and a spoon. I asked the girl how do I get the spoon in and out? So she took the lid off and showed me. So to eat a blizzard from this store means you can't have a lid on it. To end it all the blizzard was very runny, not frozen at all. I will never go back to this place unless I can bring back a real blizzard with a dome lid like from the New Albany location. I also will not be returning because I was very intimidated by the unruly youths carrying on...
Read moreWent through drive thru 2/8 order came to$32 and some change. I gave the girl a $50. Apparently they have a policy that they don't take $50. Now I can understand that if I was purchasing a cone or something small. My change would have been less than $20. Common sense is not at play with the Red head male manager with facial hair. As he needed to shove one of his teenage employees out of the window to inform me of this policy. Mind you he couldn't show me anywhere on the drive thru window signage of said policy. Just stated it is corporate policy. This man must think people are dumb, DQ is a franchise. They do have a corporate office and as a corporation, they don't have this policy. I called. I'm not sure what I'm upset about the most. I'm pretty upset for the girl that was pushed out of the way. As a mother and a manager that wouldn't stand. Or am I upset that this man bold faced lied just to be a jerk. Sadly after years of coming to this location, I will not be returning. I will be letting my other mom friends in the community know this isn't a safe place mentally or physically for your...
