In the 6th of April in the year of our lord two thousand nineteen, we remembered the fact that this restaurant, on the bedrock of so many other ones, existed. We decided to make an excursion out into the city of Westfield. We decided to broaden our culinary horizons. So after our arrival in this otherworldly plain of existence (there was a snowblower in the dining room), we took our time to look over the fare offered by this place. We were open to new ideas and new sensations. And so we ordered. Some sushi, some more standard Chinese food, and others a mixture. We waited for a time, some would say too long, but we got our food, but we were not suspicious. Oh how naive we were. We started with the chicken fingers. They were acceptable, if small and bland in taste. No harm, enough fowl to be sufficient. The rice, however, felt dry and flavorless compared to similar fare. I felt the tinge of illness strike my stomach like a slow drip, drawing my life force from my veins and from my slowing heartbeat. I recovered, and not wishing to waste my purchase, and tries the boneless spare ribs. There was something wrong, and of whose ribs these were I can only speculate. A few bites was all I needed to pass judgement. This endeavor was a mistake, much like previous expeditions unto the new world so many centuries ago. Accepting my perilous fate, I looked after my companions in order to ascertain their status. My first companion, found it palatable at best, and he has survived the kitchens of America like few others have. Another, who had the pepper steak, could only find solace in new knowledge: pepper steak could, in fact, be chewy. My third companion, who was not terribly offended by the experience, found it overpriced, especially when compared with finer establishments in the area.
We shall survive, but we wish that others do not tread the path that we do. Learn from our wisdom and our struggle, and seek a better life in love...
Read moreOverall pretty standard Szechuan cuisine here for the bulk of the menu, haven’t tried the sushi here, possibly do that soon. For what we did have, the standards of the standards were on deck: pork fried rice, egg foo yung, chicken fingers, crab rangoon, shrimp with lobster sauce, etc. The portions are large and for the most part what you would expect. Nothing floored us in terms of quality and flavor. It was decent, but I’ve had better. They are not going out of their way to innovate and seem to be simply covering the “Chinese Food in a carton that says Yummy/Enjoy” base. However, the lobster sauce was truly bizarre and totally unexpected. At first I thought I received soup, wrong order. It was clear for starters, not the rich savory brown sauce I’ve become used to. Also, to go with the clear appearance, it had the consistency of wallpaper paste, basically thick gelatinous, slimy…goop. The flavor and shrimp were both ok…sort of? What we could manage was barely two bites, the texture was wholly unappetizing and agreed among our group: very strange and rather disgusting in appearance and texture. Leaving us to question who would take this classic in this direction while leaving everything else to very basic standards. If I order again from here, sadly it will never include...
Read moreThe first time I ate from here the food was awesome! very hot fresh amazing ☺️ the second time I order from here. I can tell that the rice have been sitting from the day before from the tasting of it not fresh at all!!! just last night I ordered mixed vegetables and the smell and taste of it was horrible it smelt like a old seafood market I couldn’t even swallow it I immediately spit it the food out. I began to cry, because of course my emotions were everywhere I’m pregnant. I was expecting to have my mixed vegetables and I didn’t I believe it was either sitting and exposed all open next to the seafood, and the aroma of the seafood, got onto the vegetables it had a very bad taste as if it was spoiled. Be sure you always check your food before you leave and be sure to repeat your order before paying you will end up paying without, receiving all your food, and they will act like they didn’t hear it or they don’t remember you asking. never again will I order from this place I told My Husband absolutely never again!
