Awful! Called 20 minutes after placing order just to get an update, as there was no estimated delivery time given. Order was placed for my son, who was at school for his sporting event. He only had one hour to eat prior to practicing. I told the employee on the other end that I'm calling to check on the status of my son's order. He replied with "We're working on it." I asked if he can provide an estimated delivery time and he repeated "We're working on it." I informed him that my son is waiting on the order at school, so I would like to know if he is able to receive it prior to his event. In an impolite tone, the employee stated "You just placed your order 20 minutes ago!" I asked why would an employee speak that way and proceeded to ask if he is a manager. He sighed and stated that he is a manager. I expressed my disproval for that kind of treatment, and asked for his name. While I was talking, he kept yelling something about his driver. I told him that he should be ashamed of himself for talking like that and demanded my order to be cancelled while continuing to ask for his name. He yelled, which was somewhat indiscernible, "My name is Hudson __ Ricola and tell corporate that I said hello!" He then abruptly disconnected the call. I didn't even tell him at that time that I was calling corporate. I called back and an employee by the name of Brendan answered the phone. I told Brendan that I need to make certain that my order is cancelled. He assured me that he would cancel the order and apologized for my experience. Brendan sounded like a young teenager and had much more respect, maturity and professionalism than his own alleged manager. Why should he be led by someone unable to control his temper? From the beginning of the call, it seemed as if "Hudson" was in attack mode. He was defensive and combative the entire time. I didn't even talk as if I was bothered by the time, just simply asked if I can get an estimate. 10-15 minutes? 30 minutes? 2 hours? How am I supposed to know? If Hudson feels that confident about yelling at customers and being blatantly disrespectful with no concern for consequences, then this must be the created culture there. I did speak with corporate. The person said, "Jimmy John's", when drove up to the menu. I wasn't sure if they meant to say, "Welcome to", or what but the amazing customer service continued from there. After each item, I received an "alright." I had to tell the worker that I was done with my order which was odd and was greeted with the the total price and no thank you.
After getting to the window to pay, I had a gift card and a credit card. The rudeness kept going with no greeting or any verbiage for that matter, just a hand to grab my cards. They handed them back and didn't tell me how much they put on the credit card. The bill didn't say how much went on the credit card and my wife quickly checked online. We weren't sure if they pocketed the card and didn't use but all was well there. I was given my items one by one and not a word was said by the two workers helping us during the window process.
