I found this little gem when I googled deli's when I first came to Cleveland for a work trip. Incredible. Do you like sandwiches? Do you enjoy food that is delicious? Do you recognize that a place that has a menu board that is not electronic means they know what they are doing? The services is excellent, you come in, you order, they make it, you leave.
You don't go there for commiserating on world events, you aren't entitled to an erstwhile conversation on all things happening in your life. No one cares about your life except you.
Come here, order a sandwich, get a dessert from one of the coolers, grab a soda, and go eat it. I recommend this place to anyone who is looking for an outstanding deli and understands what that means.
Note They did recently update the menu board to the electronic style. While at first I was sad, which is a ridiculous emotion to have toward said sign, I spoke with an employee who told me how much they liked it and made things better.
In the words of Herbert Spencer, "There is a principle which is a bar against all information, which is proof against all arguments, and which cannot fail to keep a man in everlasting ignorance—that principle is contempt prior to...
Read moreWe absolutely loved our visit to this charming little coffee shop! From the moment we walked in, the baristas made us feel so welcome—and their custom lattes were seriously delicious. I had a croissant breakfast sandwich that was perfectly flaky and flavorful, and I couldn’t get enough of the everything bagel with their homemade cream cheese schmear—so good!
We also treated ourselves to a chocolate-covered donut topped with a cute Peep bunny marshmallow—such a fun touch. The atmosphere was super cozy and inviting. We were there with family and ended up staying for several hours. I would definitely visit again to read and sip coffee or do computer work.
They had a great selection of food, snacks, and even homemade dessert, sandwiches, and soups—it really felt like a place that had something for everyone. Honestly, I just wish there was a Layman’s Coffee where we live...
Read moreI love Lehman's. Their food is great and the people are usually very nice. Today I had an issue with the woman at the counter. I have a service dog and she was claiming that I am not allowed in the Bakery area. I understand that they can not allow dogs due to the open food in the bakery, however, my service dog and I are protected under the ADA and we are allowed ANYWHERE. My dog was in her vest, well behaved, and I calmly explained to her that as a service dog she is allowed anywhere, even in areas with open food. The woman seemed perturbed and said, "I didn't realize you talked to the health department" with attitude. I found this pretty rude and I don't usually write reviews, but I didn't feel welcomed and it's important that as a business they know the rules set forth by the ADA so that those with disabilities and service animals feel welcomed and...
