Mahle's Restaurant and Lounge — Restaurant in Westlake

I don't know if there are enough words to describe how mad I am right now!!! We decided to go to Mahle's again tonight because my husband and I wanted a good dinner and I wanted prime rib. We got there and waited, and waited, and waited. Finally, one of the waitresses said someone would be with us in a minute. A few minutes later, another waitress said someone would help us. After at least 15 minutes, may have been longer, the hostess appeared and really wasn't nice. Mind you, we had been staring at an empty table this whole time. Instead of seating us there, we had to wait for a different table to be bussed and reset. So finally the guy that bussed and set the table said we could sit there as he was passing us.

So, we sit and look at the menu. After a few minutes we know what we want. We waited and waited and waited. The waitresses were all busy around us, none ever stopped at our table. We waited for at least 15 more minutes and finally decided to leave.

Such a shame! We used to like going there. I'll never go back, and I'll tell everyone I know...

It was one of the best dining experiences we have ever had. There was a sign on the door about being short staffed, so please be patient. We expected a long wait. We had no wait. Our server was charming, funny, and really engaging. We had calamari, and both of us had french onion soup, and they were fantastic. My wife had rib-eye, which was cooked perfectly, medium rare. I had a seafood platter with lobster tail, scallops, and shrimp, which the server recommended. Everything was served in perfect time and was great. All that food came to only 85.00. We were shocked at the incredibly affordable options. There was a table of 6 near us, and one of the couples were celebrating their 61st wedding anniversary. ❤️ Another table had a family celebrating their Moms birthday. The place had a warming, family feel about it. It seemed like most knew each other, and they all chatted as they left. I thoroughly enjoyed our stop here on the way to South Bend. It made a hotel reservation blunder...

If you want good food do not come here If you want fast service do not come here If you want food that is on the menu do not come here. This place is BAD to say the least. I wanted to order prime rib and was told they were all out so I ordered chicken wings 10 for $8.95 After about 40 minutes I get them and 2 orders and there is only 8 per order so I asked about this and was told the prices changed about 2 years ago and they dont have new menus. I asked why the prices online are so different from this old menu and was told they havent updated the website in many years. Interior is old the help is rude and do not care what they are doing the food is a 50/50 if they even have it and to be honest nothing we had at our table was any good what so ever and for the love of god stay far away from the soup if you do dear to go to this place as the amount of salt in it will kill a...
