Brome Modern Eatery — Restaurant in Westland

This has been my third time trying Brome and the food here is so good! Burgers cooked to perfection, clean environment and everything is hot and fresh. I recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a new restaurant with a variety of burgers.

However, I also recently ordered takeout and ordered my food at 8:00pm. I had one burger and a milkshake. I got a confirmation that the food would be ready at 8:20 but I didn't receive it until 8:40. I got to the restaurant around 8:25 and was told it would be out soon but it didn't come until later. I'm also not sure why it took so long because it was plenty of staff and I kept getting told that it would be out in 2 minutes but I still had to wait 15 more minutes for one burger. Also, my milkshake was watery because it was made as soon as I placed my order and had been sitting for at least 30 minutes.

I've sat in here before to eat and even though the restaurant is very chill and the employees are super friendly, I feel like it is a little slow with service. I sat down in here and there was only 3 other families eating inside and it took at least 20-25 minutes for the food to come out. To me, it seems a little slow especially since there was barely anyone else eating inside.

I also believe that the self kiosk ordering system is a little confusing. I think it needs to be made more clear on to make your meal a combo.

Overall, this place is really good and I will continue eating here. I've had a few different things from here and they're all pretty tasty. The staff is very friendly, there's a lot of great options on the menu but I think the wait time is way too slow. Especially when ordering takeout. Even though my burger was cooked fresh, my pickup time was 8:20 and I didn't get my food until 8:40. I also kept getting promised that it was almost ready, when it wasn't. UPDATED: Sept 2nd. Did not the sleeping employee track my son down on social media and got nasty with him because of his posting a bad review. Wow, just wow. The employee was the one sleeping and didn't place any of the phoned in orders. BAD BUSINESS and UNPROFESSIONAL!!!

UPDATED: April 27th. My son visited your establishment today. His experience is in these texts. Do better. He was glad the employee was only sleep and nothing worse. The orders in the screen were behind, like mine was I'm sure. I hope things get better.

Sorry, the burger was so good I forgot to take a pic beforehand 🤣 My burger was the one eyed brome cooked medium. The menu pic show the tomatoes underneath; which is ideal. Mine were on top of the egg so the bun top never stayed on...no biggy just a mention for future visits that I'll definitely do.

The reason for the 4⭐️ instead of 5⭐️ was due to timing. Your name goes on an electronic board with times indicating how far out your order is. After the initial 15 minutes were up it then indicated "finishing up." After that ran for a while, the 15 minute timer started over again.

At this point I went to the counter and asked about the time indicator and was told not to pay it any attention...🤔🤷🏾‍♀️.

This was not lunch. This was a cinematic masterpiece. I entered Brome Westland thinking I would have a nice little salad and some fries. Cute. Harmless. Innocent. What actually happened was a flavor explosion so intense I briefly lost consciousness. I came to with kale in my mouth and tears in my eyes. The Kale Crunch Salad was not just crunchy. It crunched with purpose. It was giving main character energy. Every bite felt like a motivational TED Talk. Then the Cajun fries arrived. Hot. Spicy. Dramatic. Each fry was a tiny baton of flavor leading a parade through my soul. They did not just have seasoning. They had attitude. I caught myself whispering “Wow” after the third one. I made eye contact with one and said, “You win.” And the service? Faster than my last relationship ended. The food was in front of me so quickly I checked under the table to see if they had a portal to the kitchen. Brome, whatever you are doing, keep doing it.
