The William P Faust Public Library is beautifully designed.  There are picnic tables outside along with benches so if you want to spend some time reading outside that can work. Inside the building is well lit with plenty of windows.  The views out the windows, though the library is located in the middle of a medium size city, are pleasant to look upon.  It looks very much like you are in the country.  Recently they had an activity at the library where they placed foam cutouts of local animals that used to, and sometimes still do, live in the area – like coyote and raccoon. The library has a very good collection and it is modern and up to date.  The offerings through electronic means are sufficient.  Job seekers, students and those interested in entertainment will find that the William P Faust Library has a lot to offer. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful.  The library is also a center for many community events.  Just recently I attended one for Volunteer Opportunities and organizations from around the area came to share with library patrons the things they could do to help make things better for themselves and others.

Amazing spot for kids! My 2 and 4 year old have a blast every time. They have lots of toys to play with while you browse the books. The kid section is set up so the kids can play in an open area with bookshelves around it. I love their selection of Vox books: books that read to you when you press play (can use with headphones or play aloud) They also have a great story-time program for kids from infant-preschool that you currently do not have to register for. I also love that they open at 9 because every parent knows you’ve lived a million lives by the time most “kid” places open.

This is a wonderful library with an amazing children's section. There is a great variety of books, movies, etc. for the whole family; and many events and programs for all ages. They also have rotating displays for seasonal and special occasion books for both children and adults.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5)

The William P. Faust Westland Library is truly a gem in the community — one of my absolute favorite places! The selection of books is incredible, but it doesn’t stop there. They offer so much more than just books — fun, engaging activities for every age group, and best of all, so many of them are completely FREE!

My kids absolutely LOVE this library, and honestly, so do I. Whether it’s storytime, creative workshops, or special events, there’s always something exciting happening. It’s clear they put a lot of thought and care into creating a space where the whole community feels welcome and inspired.

The staff is friendly and helpful, the space is clean and well-organized, and the outdoor areas are a beautiful bonus — perfect for a peaceful reading break or letting the kids enjoy a little sunshine.

I truly can’t say enough good things about this library. It’s not just a building with books — it’s a vibrant hub of learning, fun, and connection. Thank you, Westland Library, for all...

Huge library with great collection of books, they have really nice programs for kids, I also like that they allow a huge borrow limit of something like 40 books per card. I can renew 3 times, for 15 days each time. They send out reminders to return the books so I don't need to track the due dates. This is a great place and we love that there is never a boring moment for us at home because we always have an exciting book to settle down with :) The kids play area and reading corner, computers with loaded apps were super nice for my 5 year old. They give out awesome free summer art kits. The summer reading program was very useful to get kids learning to prevent learning loss with schools closed. I am regular here. I borrow a small suitcase full of books every month. They update and restock recent books and the staff are highly cooperative to...
