My name is David. I’m a local business owner here in downtown Plymouth today was Friday, February 28 after work. I decided to go to Texas roadhouse it was pretty packed being a Friday night, but I was there by myself. I asked the hostess how long the wait would be she told me that if there was an open seat at the bar, I can go and take it so that’s what I did Sit down at the bar. The bartender greeted me very kindly asked me what I’d like to drink, and I placed in my order.. still waiting for my food and drink to come. I begin to realize the man sitting next to me was calling me names using racial slurs, and telling his wife how he didn’t want to sit next to me at this point I still didn’t know what was going on, but he got up and switched seats. I didn’t really pay attention but him and his wife start using racial slurs against me calling me names and even going as far as calling me a faggots, I felt so uncomfortable and I was devastated. I told the bartender what was going on and he heard and told me don’t worry if he says anything else I’ll take care of it. Well, he continued using racial slurs against me going as far as telling his wife how he wanted to beat me and he didn’t like that I was sitting next to them. I got upset and I told the bartender I don’t feel comfortable and I need to speak to a manager I woke up from the bar, walked back up to the front and told the manager what was going on. She was young and she told me just to wait on the side while she rectified the problem. I noticed that she never went to go speak to them and I waited for like 15 minutes until she came back with a five dollar coupon for a dessert. I was in complete shock explaining to her the severity of the situation that this man was calling me names telling his wife how he’s going to beat me up racial slurs you name it. All of this was happening. People around us was shocked, but she offered me a five dollar coupon for a dessert. I asked her if she was serious. Is this how she’s going to handle the situation me being a business owner myself and asked to speak to someone else that manager listen to my story and I told him that this was very poorly handled and why didn’t they go speak to that man that there shouldn’t be someone like that in the restaurant throwing racial slurs he made me wait for about 15 minutes and came back and gave me a voucher for a free $20 meal I was in complete shock the way that they handled the situation. I was so upset that this guy completely got away with using vowel language, racial, slurs, and being a complete racist Honestly, they could’ve done better. Their five dollar coupon for dessert for inconveniencing me was unacceptable as a business as an establishment, a manager should’ve went to that person and asked them to leave and said something along the lines of we don’t tolerate this type of behavior, but none of that happened and I’m very...
Read moreWe have been patrons of Texas Roadhouse for over 15 years, mainly this location. We are going to go to the Novi location from now on. We did the online reserve seating ahead of time and got called in only to stand for at least another 8 to 10 minutes. We should not of had been called until the table was ready. The prior area that was great for waiting in was gutted to put in tables, took away the podium, and added three benches for people to wait. It was packed, and we were told to wait by the meat case. Two families with infants and toddlers being held were not able to sit the whole time while more and more people were told to wait by the meatcase. Over 20 people were crammed into that area while the hostesses were constantly saying excuse me so they had to dance around the people waiting with nowhere to stand to get rolls and silverware. We get called back and told to sit at a table in the corner that was not bussed and had to wait another 3 to 5 minutes until an overworked waitress said she would take us while the hostess was trying to radio what to do. There is no more music to be heard, at such a low volume, and people's coversations are much louder now that they removed a few walls and can barely hear your own. Decorations have been removed, and the food quality is dipping. The broccoli was mostly hunks of stems. The cheese seems like it is of lower quality and does not melt well and is of different texture. There was not much for mushrooms on the portabella chicken, salads are smaller, and the sweet potatoes are also smaller (not 17.99 worth of food). The ziosk did not have a battery in it to be able to pay. No manager came to the table tonight, as they used to, to check on things. One of the hostesses had a full over the pant leg brace on and forced to stand the whole time without the podium. Seems like they are possibly under new management and are more concerned about packing people in the place instead of quality...
Read moreWe frequent this location a lot and this is the first time we have been disappointed. First we could tell something was off one we walked in either short staffed or just the front staff complaining about too many tables not being bussed. Second the waitress who called us followed normal procedure grabbed it ticket plates and bread but not us. As she walked to the seating area with bread in had she sneezed. Yes she used her elbow but the platter was right there. Just nasty! She then Proceeded to the seating are where she talked with another coworker for 2 minutes before walking back up to the front with the entire platter to call us. Once we were seated our waitress grabbed our drink order. We didn't have time to change out the bread. We were served our salads. Salads had quite a few brown pieces in it. I get it lettuce and it Browns with air, I just picked it out. Ate some of my salad until it tasted bitter and then I was just done. Waitress never came around so I couldn't let her know about the salad. When she finally did come around, she asked if we need a drink refills and took our uneaten salad bowls away. We expected her to come back with refills. However, 20 minutes later, somebody finally brings to refills to the table another five minutes after that the waitress comes by and said oh, I'll speak to my manager to find out what's going on with your food and then another 10 minutes later, our food was delivered. Broccoli was also a weird brown color and hard. So in total from the time we got our salads to our food, there was a 30 minute wait the people next to us that ordered ribs and everything else that sat down 20 minutes after we did they already had their food. And unfortunately, because our waitress didn't stick around, it wasn't like we could complain to management about...
