I liked that it was quiet and peaceful because there's never a single soul here besides my wife and I hence the 5 stars for atmosphere. The owner is nice enough until you tell her how much badly prepared her food is. Paying a lot for food is bad enough these days. They cheap out by leaving out key ingredients like the correct herbs. I had to use a microscope to find any meat in my Banh Cuon. She whined when I left her a bad review on Yelp. Turned it on me for hurting her feelings even though I was pretty frank and impersonal about it during my visit. Didn't take any responsibility and complained how hard they worked on our food for me to critique their business. I made the mistake of mentioning something about Vietnamese business owners on Yelp (I'm Vietnamese) and got flagged by their filter system for removal lol. Can't wait for her to answer here with more gas lighting.
Update response: My feedback struck a nerve. My review was based on my actual experience at your restaurant. I wasn't attacking you personally but pointing out specific issues with the food and customer service. Constructive criticism is essential for running a successful business, and dismissing it won't help improve quality. We work hard for our money, and it's unacceptable to pay for food we couldn't enjoy eating. Focusing solely on how hard you work does not address the valid issues I raised. Your response again deflects responsibility and trying to make me feel at fault for expressing my honest opinion, which is not acceptable. Instead of dismissing my feedback, consider it an opportunity to make necessary...
Read moreI have been eating At this Restaurant for many years. Actually it could have been since my childhood. The owner is a very nice lady and her daughter is the cashier at this Establishment. There used to be an order gentleman who was the waiter but this time I did not see him. I hope that he is OK. I like the staff overall they are friendly. there are new 2 or 3 younger servers today. They look like family members of the owners of this restaurant. The food overall is pretty standardize but the courtesy and friendliness of the staff with their speed and serving in repairing food seemed to increase The overall rating. With prices increased around the country this is through a bargained to have a lunch or a dinner for 2. It is a very healthy alternative to any fast food chain in this country. For less than $20 I had a very nice lunch with my daughter today. Most clientels are more of a traditional Vietnamese tastebuds but you can see the newer generations eat here, even though they dressed in hipper clothings, they do share the likes of this traditional food, especially with The vietnamese...
Read moreMy mom and I are regulars here, we have gone here soo many times that the owners and waiters know us! Although this is beside the point!
This is one of my go to spots that I do not mind splurging on because you get so much for your money!
I have introduced my non-viet friends to this place whenever they want to eat but not feeling "too hungry" and they fell in love with it! The good thing about Viet food is it always feels light! You can go about your day afterwards!
Anyways, I always order the number one combo plate that gives you so much goodness in one plate. It comes with ban cuon (rice paper), fried battered shrimp, cha lua (idk the translation, but its pork meat, I think). My mom and I always order extra fried shrimp and ban cuon along with a side of lettuce so we can make wraps! The dipping sauce they provide goes perfectly with their entire menu!
