Ding Tea Westminster — Restaurant in Westminster

The little free arcade games in the back is awesome, but the joysticks need maintenance bad... The overall staff is friendly and great they get the stars, but whenever their boss is working its a different story.The boss never smiles when she greets customers and the staff gets all nervous and quiet. I have spent thousands of dollars there coming in very frequently over the years and every time the boss lady is there I get no satisfaction! She has all sorts of explanation on why she will not top off your drink, or sell you more boba to you, or make anything with slight customization and etc... too little friendliness from the boss lady and too much penny-pinching for my taste. A few weeks ago when i came in there was 1 person in front of me and she just ordered. the boss lady was at the cash register. the boss lady made eye contact but didn't even say anything not even a smile. she just continued sorting cups or reading labels while i was just standing there awkwardly. after about 30 seconds i just left. the other day i came in and ordered just boba (because i already have a big cup of tea in the car) the staff handled the transaction just fine like many other transactions before without the boss being there. a few days after that it was raining so i have my cup of tea already i came in again to order just boba and this time the boss lady was there... and you can imagine that i didn't get any boba that time... "because there wouldn't be enough boba for other customers who order tea too..." for reals?? a boba shop not selling you boba?? i go here because it is really close by, but other places (tastea etc...) will have NO problems selling you extra boba in a separate cup and then some... and they will do it with a smile.i get that it is a business and she's just trying to run it her way or whatever but a smile goes a long way...also a few more drops of tea to top off the drink won't hurt your business... i try not to go here if the boss lady is working... or better yet i should just go somewhere else where getting "extras" won't violate their...

Measurements seem off...

The menu is the same as all of their other locations, but our drinks didn't have the exact sweetness level that we asked for. Mine was so sweet that I had to water it down in the car and my mom's was so bitter that it felt like they added no sweetness nor flavor at all.

Lychee Green Tea: 8/10 - tasted like 100% sweetness when I asked for 50% Matcha Milk Tea: 4/10 - super bitter and way too much matcha powder Passionfruit Green Tea: 9/10 - good level of tartness

The workers were nice and weren't upset when we asked them to remake one of the drinks, but there wasn't really a difference in flavor. Therefore, we just assumed that it's this certain location's measurements and just the way they make their drinks.

The interior is quite nice and bright which we enjoyed. They have a decent amount of seating and we didn't have to wait too long for our drinks. The shop is located in a small plaza, but it's usually quite empty so you should be able to find a parking spot easily.

Despite the disappointment, we'll be back to give them another try...

Update: drink have gotten worse. Boba is old. Overcooked outside undercooked inside. Custard has too much agar. Their signature drink lacks flavor, just plain sweet. Probably not going here anymore. Paid nearly $7 for a drink I wouldn't pay for or drink at all.

Original review: Given the location I guess it's the best choice outside of having to drive all the way to The Alley for a properly decent Boba Milk Tea.

Still way too expensive so it only gets 3 stars for what it's...
