El Pollo Loco — Restaurant in Westminster

I truly received The Ultimate Royal Treatment in this El Pollo Loco location on Goldenwest Ave/Westminster Ave from the minute I entered the restaurant till I left, the overall look of the store presented sharp and crisp clean and deliciously appetizing, not to mention the positive full of warmth, teamwork, joy of strive and dedication and natural freewill helpfulness setting joyous familial and friendly work space and attentive informed servicemenshiand amongst themselves all, so welcoming yet heartbreaking bc these types of star employees deserve highly elite wages, rewards, exceptional recognition and repaid and RE compensated in GOLD and DIAMOND scale with the WOW and symbolic influential role model xample of a business and record setting standard and ambition for the entire workforce to be happy, forward, healthy, and adding qualititive measures and improving public overall life. Amongst all the bunch of Goodies employees: one employee solidly shined the most with her cute happy face and DieHeart cashier brought up my moral and mood that wiped all of my stresses, worries, round trip to heavens bc of her well informed options and instant problem solving skills was quite heart touching and outstanding and out of charts that I had to write this long and detailed review which fulfilled my hunger and fed my soul’s hunger and changed and transformed my life to so much better and inclined it so significantly towards contentment and appreciation of living in this beautiful Mother Nature along with such kind and caring individuals like Cashier Liliana with her glorified and life changing and hardworking personality that I wish worlds and worlds of success, prosperity, health, and happiness ,for Liliana herself and her family and her beautiful humble caring parents for offering and equippinng our societies such brite, transparent, proud, and polite individuals who makes life like The Real Paradise like how it is deemed and supposed to be. When we first got here we were told that it would take 30 minutes for the chicken to cook. We had no issue with this because we had other errands to do, but, before leaving we asked if we can pay ahead of time. That way our chicken doesn't get sold out! The manager, who we were talking with, assured us that wouldn't be the case and if we came back in 30 min there would be chicken waiting for us!

When we finished our errand and returned 20-25 minutes later. I held the door open for someone holding lots of bags in both hands... When we got to the cash register to pay for our order, we were told that they just gave away all of the chicken to a catering order (the person I held the door for!) and it would be another 30 minutes!!!!

I had to hold my poor mother back from jumping the counter and ripping their heads off! After calming her down, we waited the 30... 35.. 40.... 48 INFURIATING MINUTES, we FINALLY got our order! After I checked it, I noticed a couple sides were either wrong or missing but I was over it, so I asked for 2 sides of a sauce my mom wanted and they had the audacity to TRY to charge me 33 CENTS for them, I say because I waited for 3 different people ordering to pay the "0.66cents" but was over it, they wasted WAY too much of my time and left !

When we got home we had to SUFFER thru some of the driest most unappealing chicken I have EVER eaten!! The only thing that made it bearable was the sides,I wished I waited to get my missing sides now!

I will NEVER eat at El pollo loco again, at least at at this location! The fact that the manager messed up and didn't even try to make it right, or even apologize is UNACCEPTABLE and is NOT a great way to manage/run a business! The ONLY reason I'm giving it 2 star (in service) is because of this beautiful middle eastern girl, who was very kind and respectful and visibly embarrassed for the whole situation! YMMV and good luck if you do decide...

I keep going back every few months hopping that their food has gone back to the way it was before. I don’t know what happened if a corporation bought them out or new management but their food has changed and not for the better. The chicken has a strange after taste some kind of preservative maybe? I don’t know why but for a while now I have noticed the rice beans mac and cheese tortillas all the side dishes had this strange aftertaste. The chickens was very burned it was not even eatable they also messed up the order in the drive-through which happened to me 3 separate occasions at this location. This time I went there mainly because I saw one of their comercial and it looked like a healthier drive through than the others around me (we have been redoing our kitchen so eating out every day for 8 weeks) in the comercial they were showing their Tortilla soup which looks delicious I ordered my family meals and the soup for myself well everyone’s order had wrong side dish and I got a chicken tostada salad no soup I was by myself in line with order for my family so I didn’t want to hold up lind and open up all the bags so I repeatedly ed my order asking is each thing in bag she said yes to each thing until I said my side of Guacamole with chips she said oh no hold on she gave me the guacamole I thought I had it all I get home of couce no Chicken soup for me wrong side side dishes and to top it all of the price was over $60. I don’t mind paying more if the quality of the food is there but it’s not anymore I am so sorry to say. Because ounce upon a time it was great food very freshly made.
