Ike's Love & Sandwiches — Restaurant in Westminster

Ike's is my FAVORITE sandwich shop ever! Each sandwich has a unique, memorable name, and the flavors in every bite are just as unique! I'm a huge fan of the Red Pesto they make, so I usually get either the Jim Rome (Turkey, Avocado, Red Pesto, and Cheddar), or the Reading Rainbow (Vegetarian) on a Dutch Crunch sub 🤤 Although I gotta say, I personally think a great place to start for a first timer is the Backstabber (Halal Chicken, Creamy Caesar, Marinated Artichoke Hearts, and Provolone.) Ike's signature Halal chicken is so tender and flavorful, combined with the creamy Caesar sauce here, it's no joke that this sandwich would bring any Roman emperor to their knees. And one of the best parts of all of Ike's signature subs, they all come with fresh tomato, shredded lettuce, and Ike's Dirty Sauce. The sauce is everything, seriously, so don't miss out, get all that good stuff! And with over 800 sandwiches and endless combinations of ingredients, you can make a vegetarian and even vegan version of whatever your dream sub might be. The possibilities are endless, so VEGANS REJOICE! 💚

This new location right off Goldenwest and Bolsa is probably going to become my new regular spot since it's right next to my work, and the fresh staff is so friendly too ☺️ I'm so happy they finally opened this store, owned by the same guy who also runs the Fountain Valley location a couple miles away. I was lucky enough to meet the owner during their soft opening this week, and he was extremely friendly, and generous enough to give me a free sandwich for my sister back home, a loyal Ike's fan through and through! So definitely stop by, soak up that Ike's Dirty Sauce, and prepare to ditch Subway (respectfully, sorry Jared 🤭😅)

First time going there from doing searches to see what places I can eat at, overall very friendly staff, came into place; immediately was greeted, the menu is a bit to take in with soo many options which is a plus.

After deciding, immediately asked if I wanted some water before purchasing which is a nice touch if its a hot day, ordered my #44 Robin Williams sandwich

Which included chicken, lettuce tomatoes, mushrooms, Italian dressing, also had th3 ability to choose from 3 different breads; i chose the crunchy cracked one ( not sure on the name of it)

Took it home and opened it up and it was already cut in half which is nice if you only somewhat hungry

Everything tasted as it should chicken was moist and juicy, lettuce was lettuce and so on.

I've been to Ike's Fountain Valley location a few times in the past and have tried some of their vegetarian options, which were good. However, my experience today at the new Westminster location was a bit underwhelming. I ordered the Backstabber and unfortunately, I didn't think it was that great.

One thing that stood out to me was the price. At up to $15 for a sandwich (without chips or drink), it's definitely on the expensive side. While they were generous with the napkins, I was hoping they'd be more generous with the protein and vegetables in the sandwich.

Additionally, the wait time was pretty long - about 20-30 minutes for just one sandwich. It seemed like they were either severely understaffed or not working at an...
