Extremely Disappointing Experience at Huntington Beach Harley Davidson. I recently had a deeply disappointing experience at Huntington Beach Harley Davidson that I feel compelled to share. As a newcomer to the United States with limited motorcycle knowledge, I visited the dealership pretending and acting Rocky towards motorcycles seeking information and guidance on the Bob 114 and Sportster 48 models for finance as potential options for my first bike to ride on California roads. since I owned 48 back home. Unfortunately, my interactions with individuals named Bob or Bobby and Michael were deeply unsettling.
I found the staff to be solely focused on extracting money and engaging in deceptive practices while failing to provide comprehensive information about the motorcycle financing process. Bobby insisted on a $3000 down payment, claiming it was necessary due to it being my first financing experience and pressuring me to pay immediately or in two weeks because it was the last day of the month. These tactics raised suspicions and made me feel out of control.
What made matters worse was the encounter with unsettling instances of assault and racism jokes during our discussions. These inappropriate comments implied that I may be involved in illicit activities, such as weed or hash and getting cash on the side, which completely tarnished my experience and eroded my trust in the dealership. Bobby attempted to make amends with a handshake and even a hug, but the deeply offensive remarks he made about his personal life left me feeling traumatized and incredibly uncomfortable.
To add to my disappointment, I discovered that the dealership did not have any new 48 models available, despite initially being told otherwise. When I inquired about the full price of the bike, the salesman Mr. Michael claimed ignorance and stated he needed to consult the financial manager, which was disconcerting.
Ultimately, I realized that the dealership was trying to push me towards a poorly functioning used motorcycle that did not meet my requirements or expectations. The used motorcycle even failed to start during my visit, which further highlighted the dealership's questionable practices.
Since I refused to pay the $3000 down payment and the Bob 114 model was not accepted for first-time financing, Bobby became increasingly frustrated and made statements implying that I would regret my decisions later. Moreover, I was informed that financing the 48 model was only possible for used bikes, despite my clear intention to finance a brand-new motorcycle. These discrepancies and inconsistencies made me insist on speaking with the financial manager, only to realize that even they seemed unaware of the whole circumstances, and the down payments has to be immediately and not in two weeks.
In light of this distressing encounter, I made the decision to terminate any further dealings with the dealership. However, I was deeply disappointed when Michael, who identified himself as a salesperson, continued to persistently call my cell phone at unusual hours, inquiring about alternative sources or third-party purchases for the motorcycle. This behavior was highly unprofessional, invasive, and completely unwelcome.
My entire experience at Huntington Beach Harley Davidson was marred by racism, shady practices, and suspicious behavior. I cannot, in good faith, recommend this dealership to anyone. For individuals with little to no motorcycle knowledge, I strongly advise bringing along someone with expertise or adopting an investigative approach to avoid the various questionable aspects within the dealership.
Overall, my experience was deeply frustrating and left me feeling disappointed and disheartened. I hope that the management takes this feedback seriously and works towards improving the professionalism and integrity of...
Read moreTerrible sales, customer service, and unprofessionalismâŚThe dealership is disrespectful and has no compassion for their customers personal lives and time. They attacked my credibility after I posted my review.
First, I discussed with them, Ivan G. and Kevin M., about selling my motorcycle. I was told to come to dealership for a better deal in person. I told them if they were not going to offer me at least 10KâŚI would not go to the dealer because I do not want to waste either of our time. I was being completely honest and transparent. However, they wanted to lie to me and tell me to come to the dealer for a better deal in person. I worked a 12hr shiftâŚand then drove another 45mins to go to the dealership. And they offer me $9200. Why are you going to lie and give false hope? Do dealers or salespeople really believe that if people go to the dealer in person customers will suddenly change their minds and take a terrible deal. They have complete disrespect for their customers and treat them like they are stupid.
Second, in the past when I purchased a motorcycle from them I had an issue with their service department. After buying a motorcycle they are supposed to check over the bike to make sure everything is good. Additionally, they even drive the bike for a few miles as part of the test. So, why is it when I sit on the bike to leaveâŚthere is a flat tire indicator on the dash?...really? So, I drove to a gas station to put air in my tire and the indicator turned off. How does it take the service department hours to check over a bike (which they charge service by the hour) and not notice a flat tire indicator on the dash??? So whoever the service employee was that worked on my bike is absolutely pathetic and apathetic for something so easily detectable to go un-noticed. Future customers should not expect to the service department to correctly work on your bike or even âcheckâ your bike systems over. They obviously do not check anything and are taking extra time to charge you more money.
Lastly, they train all their employees to greet you when you enter the store. This comes off as completely insincere and fake. It is especially noticeable when you try to have a conversation with some of the employees and they do not care about anything you have to say. They just want your money and nothing else.
I hope this helps other potential customers as a warning to how bad this dealer is and to stay away.
Not all Harley Davidson dealerships are not badâŚBut Huntington Beach Harley is one of the bad ones. I would suggest going to a different dealer that respects its customers.
UPDATE My reply to the âOwnersâ response.
Huntington Beach Harley claims I never discussed the price over the phone and attacked my credibility by saying they have recorded phone calls.
I never stated previously there was an agreed upon amount. I told Ivan G. that if he could be straight with me and tell me if Huntington Beach Harley would offer more than 10K, otherwise I would not waste my time going there. He stated to come in person for a better deal, which would leave me to believe they would offer 10K or more. However, it was nothing but a lie that resulted in not benefitting anyone and wasting my time.
Huntington Beach Harleyâs response is proof they do not care about their customers. They immediately attacked my credibility. This is another example of their unprofessionalism.
There are numerous other 1-star reviews on Google. I am not the only customer that has had a bad experience with Huntington Beach HarleyâŚand I am saying all of this as a warning to other...
Read moreThe worst experience I have ever encountered and would never purchase anything from any of these dealerships. I actually considered going to a different brand due to the horrible experience. I had communicated for several days about a used bike and made an appointment to go see and test ride the bike. The person who I was communicating with for several days (Sarah) sent me the address in a text message. I called Sarah the day prior to my appointment to double check the address, she assured me i had the correct address. It was an hour and a half drive to the dealership. When I arrived, they informed me the bike was not there, and it was at their other dealership another 45 minutes away. The sales manager apologized " for my inconvenience" but also made excuses that the people who answer the phones and set appointments don't really know much about where the bikes are. He also informed me that the bike had recently been moved to the other dealership (what...Really)???. Which I found out later it had been at the other dealership for months. Then the sales manager proceeded to present a high-pressure sales pitch on a new bike???? One of the worst experiences I have ever encountered, but it got even worse when I went to their other dealership Riverside Harley Davidson. When I arrived at Riverside Harley (after driving another hour) the salesperson led me down to their "Basement" where the bike was buried at least 15 bikes deep in a sea of broken motorcycles and looked nothing like the photos they posted online (obviously photo shopped or a different bike altogether). The bike was so dirty you could barely see the paint, it was obvious the bike had been sitting there for a long time. The battery was also dead so it wouldn't even start. Despite all this I informed the salesperson that I had been given an Out the Door Price by Hugo. He then informed me that there is an additional $999 safety inspection I would have to pay. This was never brought up by any of the five or six people I spoke with. I then asked to speak with the GM because at that point I had spent 7 hours of my day, had been lied to and given the runaround. I was told to go speak to a staff member, this guy did not come down to the floor to speak with me I had to walk up the steps and talk to him over a wall. The entire time he made excuses saying that the people on the phone do not work for his dealership and he is not responsible for what they say. I was getting pretty angry at the fact they took no responsibility. I told him I will post me review of my experience as many times as I possibly can. He then started telling me that I was "bashing his staff"??? Which is strange because he told me the people I had talked to do not work at his dealership???. I started to leave and when I walked out the door another guy followed me out and said he was the GM. This guy was standing there the whole time listening to me talk with the other staff member and said nothing just stood there and watched. I have zero respect for anyone like that. Thes guys are ruining the Harley Davidson reputation and everything the brand stands for. I spent a total of 11 hours of my day being lied too and given the runaround. Buying a Harley Davidson is supposed to be an experience that a person would look forward to. Stay away from this dealership and any or their affiliates. There are so many other dealerships that will treat you fair. I purchased a bike a few days later at another dealership where I was treated with honesty, kindness...
