Read morel've had this restaurant bookmarked for a while, and I finally got the chance to check it out tonight and it did not disappoint! Having spent years enjoying home-cooked Laotian food while living in San Diego, where there's a thriving Laotian community, l've developed a deep appreciation for traditional Laotian flavors. I was fortunate to have friends who loved cooking authentic dishes, so my expectations were high. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed. We were seated immediately, and I couldn't help but notice how clean and well-maintained the space was--a detail that set a great first impression. Here's what we ordered: Veggie Eggroll: These were absolutely delicious--light, crispy, and perfectly paired with the flavorful peanut sauce. A fantastic appetizer to start the meal. Salmon Larb Salad: Wow, wow, wow! This dish was a symphony of flavors that hit every note. I fell in love with it instantly, and I already know it's going to be my go-to dish. Highly recommend! BBQ Mix Combo with Sticky Rice: My boyfriend ordered this one, and I made sure he tried the Laotian sausage--a must-try specialty. While I couldn't taste it myself (pescatarian here!), he raved about how juicy and flavorful it was. Stir-Fried Broccoli: Simple but perfect-cooked just right, with a satisfying crunch. This place is a winner all around! To top it off, our server, Kee, made the experience even more memorable. His warm, bubbly, and friendly demeanor added an extra layer of joy to our visit. Needless to say, we'll definitely be back to explore more dishes. One tip: come hungry! You’re going to want to...
Read moreAlright so first off. This place was super accommodating and the staff was so nice. I was part of that one group that trickled in with 30 minutes-ish till closing and last call was ending in 5 minutes to follow. They sat us down and took our order and we were off to the races. I would recommend the a family style dinner experience so you can try all the tasty items they have. They do have items where it is a meal you can have to yourself.
My party ordered a total of 5 items -Larb Rib Eye -Khao Soi -Lemon Grass Chicken Wings -Tom Saap "Pork Ribs Soup" -Bbq Mix Combo plate with mango sticky rice (chicken n beef skewers
It was a good amount of food and we all felt relatively satisfied. I think the winners of tonight for me were the Khao Soi & the Lemon grass chicken wings. It was a textural flavor bomb combination that kept me wanting to have another bite. It had a good amount of heat which is adjustable to your liking.
The one thing I feel I could've omitted was the larb dish. Not that it wasn't good it's just the other dishes out shined it. Im also used to getting a good bed of rice. If I could also adjust one thing is to swap the rib eye for the ground meat. I think the rib eye itself was good but it wasn't as complimentary as I thought it would be.
I do also want to show my appreciation on letting us stay past closing time just to...
