Today I decided to stop by this location after a business meeting on my way home rather than go to the one over by my house. I got there around 445pm and decided to sit at the bar; which I normally do when I am by myself. The bartender took my order quickly and it was delivered by a wait staff in a timely manner. The cook staff cooked my classic prime rib to perfection and the asparagus was cooked well also. The bartender that took my order disappeared. I thought he had left for the day. The female bartender did not communicate with me at all. I attempted to get her attention multiple times so I could get my check and a to go box. The male bartender returned. Apparently he had wounded himself and needed to fix it. After his return I attempted to get his attention multiple times. When I finally got his attention, he asked if I wanted dessert. I asked for my bill and a to go box. He was quick to ring me up. I am normally a 20-40 percent tipper depending on the wait staff friendliness, follow up, and timeliness to get me out the door. Today I gave the bare minimum acceptable of 18 percent. The baretenders were more focused on chatting with the regulars than following up with other customers. I was not ever asked how my meal was. When I arrived there were 5 at the bar and by the time I left there were only 8. If one bartender has to step away then the other bartender should be checking on everyone so this doesn't happen to someone else in the future. Read moreOk, this was easily one of the worst restaurant experiences I have had. I understand these are challenging times due to Covid, but that is exactly why a restaurant should stress customer service. My experience started at 5:45 trying for a fun night out for my teenage son's birthday. Using Google as they suggest I tried to get on their wait list. I put my phone down for about 10 minutes and when I picked it up I received a message that something went wrong and the app couldn't put me on the list. Should have been a warning. No big deal, I called the restaurant and was put on the list. Told to come in around 7:30. We show up at 7:30, I check in, and am told a table would be ready very soon. Sounds good, so I back to the car and wait. After not hearing anything for about 15 minutes I go back in the restaurant and am told by a snoty young kid in a blue shirt that it will be another 20 - 25 minutes "If were lucky". After waiting 40 minutes we finally decide to leave and just go to Chipotle. Better food at a fraction of the price. I get that they are limited capacity, but they should have done a much better job at setting expectations (the I dont care attitude of the kid didn't help). Read moreThis is the second bad experience with this Outback. The first was when they forgot my shrimp. When I called to let them know they forgot my dinner, I was given the option of coming back to get it (uh no!). Then tonight, on my husband's birthday, he ordered a steak medium only to be disappointed when it was black and blue (not just pink), He's going to have to reheat it on the grill tomorrow. I'm really sad that this was his birthday and he was really looking forward to a great steak. Next time I'll cook it myself and it might be better. Also, when I picked the order up, I waited a while only to find out the person next to me had waited for twenty minutes and finally went in to get her order. The person coming out to get the to go order yelled at her and also yelled at others that he had way too many orders to get to. Not our fault ( he then said that the tablets were down, again, not our fault). I am not sure I will be ordering from this restaurant again for a while and please, don't send me a free blooming onion gift card again. (That was the remedy for forgetting my dinner previously).
