The name of this restaurant is Sorry Umma Hot Pot and, as I found out, there is nothing to be sorry about at this restaurant. Looking at the menu, I knew exactly what I wanted: hot pot! Yes, it was a very hot day, in the high 90s, but inside this nice air conditioned, well-lit, bright, and clean restaurant, I felt hot pot was the dish I want to eat. Our table top, which was very clean, had six stoves to cook our individual pot for our meal. Although this restaurant is a hot pot place, they also offer other menu choices for diners who want to explore a different eating experience and not just the hot pot. (See photos for their other options.) While the broth was heating up, the two friends and I went to get options to add in each of our pots. So many options to add to the pot! Spinach, bok choy, cabbage, broccoli, mushrooms, taro, potatoes, bean sprouts, corn, and fresh eggs were among the options for you to add in your broth. There was another separate area where you can make your own dipping sauces including peanut, chili, and soy sauce. We were also treated to their seafood pancake. The pancake was filled with a lot of green onions, and inside of the pancake had shrimp, scallops, and squid. It was very tasty, and the potion for the four of us to share and eat was perfect. I was still dreaming about this restaurant the day after I ate there. I can’t wait to go back with my DHHA group and introduce them to this wonderful eating experience I had there. If you are in the area or are nearby and want something yummy for your tummy, I highly recommend Sorry Umma to satisfy your hunger pangs. And remember: there is nothing to be “Sorry” about when you eat here.

THE MOST DISGUSTING FILTHY RESTAURANT I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. So unfortunate that this place is new and they do not value cleanliness one bit. I’ve been to many amazing hot pot restaurants but this is by far the worst one yet. My friend and I went to this restaurant after hearing great things about it however after just sitting for 15 minutes and seeing disgusting unsanitary things back to back we decided to leave and not eat anything. First off, my water cup was filthy. There was a dried up white substance on the outer rim of the cup. The plates all had leftover crusty food on it. ALL of the utensils provided on every had gunked up leftover food on it (we looked at multiple tables). The vegetables were clearly not washed (i found dirt and what looks like a worm possibly on multiple different vegetables). I found a vegetable with mold on it. The meat had dark spots on it which clearly showed it was old and kept at unsafe temperatures. I found a hair in my broth and on a plate of food even though my friend both had our hair up the whole time we were in the restaurant so it definitely wasn't ours. We were disgusted and disappointed to say the least. I would not recommend this place to anyone and I really hope the FDA pays a visit to them soon before anyone else gets sick. I am SORRY that Sorry Umma is NASTY!!

My pork-belly loving little girl and I have been to Sorry Umma several times since they opened and have enjoyed each and every experience. At first glance, it looks just like every other hot pot place out there, and the restaurant location itself is in a strip mall. (It's next to HMart, though, so smart move on the part of the owner and bonus for the rest of us!). If you've been on the fence, GO!! The quality of the meats is EXTRAORDINARY and the kimchi is some of the best I've ever had. (It all tastes very close to what our friend who grew up in South Korea makes). The sauces are amazing. The produce is fresh and authentic to Korea. The small and simple menu suggests that Sorry Umma isn't willing to sacrifice quality for variety. The servers are polite and anxious to help. If it seems like they're not checking in often enough, don't forget the self serve buffet in the back and the "Call" button on the wall next to your table. (We appreciated not being frequently interrupted during the meal.) I will definitely be going back as often as time permits, with as many family and friends as I can convince to come with me. It's worth the drive from Longmont, especially when Hmart is right there, too.

We came for Tuesday dinner, with our little one. I’ll start by saying that first— we have been to almost every hot pot place worth visiting, and no other place had broth like this place. It was so flavorful!! Other hot pot places don’t even have bulgogi flavored broth, just your usual herb, spicy, mushroom, etc..So it was unique and delicious! Second, the quality of the meat here was much, much higher. You could tell just the way the marbling of the meat, color of the meat, and taste were way better than local places. Here you get decent servings of meat too, not just shreds like some other places. And though it was not busy, they made some fried chicken pieces for our two year old out of pure kindness and made some scratch lemonade which was not even a drink on the drink menu. We came in, in a not busy timeframe and chatted with the owner. He is very very nice, telling us about why he’s trying to do—bring real authenticity and flavor, and better quality. Between ALL the hot pot places we’ve tried, this has seriously been the best one based off of flavor alone. If you want really flavor and high quality for basically the same price as all the other places around Thornton, westy, Aurora, and Arvada, then eat here. It’s...
