Located right smack in front of the Walmart off the 22 on Beach/Trask; this super conveniently located food truck is open for business at this location all day long on Thursdays and Sundays.

Okay, so this food truck is actually not a typical food truck. It is not to be compared to its competitors. You would be remiss to do so and I will find you and smack your hand for such disrespect. 😉 In OC, we all know there's approximately 58253929572 food trucks (and god knows there's some fantastic ones!). However, PLAYA BABY takes it all home! AGAIN, I STRESS! This is is not a typical food truck! It is a mouth-watering tastebud-orgasm supplier. Barring any food allergy, try something then come back and try something else. Rinse....REPEAT! Whatever you do, don't eat two different things back to back within minutes. Your tastebuds - they won't be able to handle it. It's just too much, trust me! 😋🤤 Savor 👏 that 👏 FLAVOR boyyyy (or girrrrl). 🤷

This visit, I had both hot link sausages - the L.A. style as well as the Dirty South. My mouth is still watering as I write up this review. My good god! Absolutely incredible!

Amanda will take your order, answer EVERY question you have. She is such a sweetie! You matter to her and her interaction with you (and that smile, yasss) will absolutely prove it. And then, (no and then!) once your order is placed, just be patient. Give it about 15 minutes. This is a mouth-gasm experience - these pleasures take times. But it is SOO SO SO GOOD!

We were just at the Costco Business Center and I remembered seeing Chef Amanda on Tik Tok explaining that the truck is parked right between the entrances to Walmart and Costco so even though we weren’t hungry, I at least wanted to stop by and check it out and support this small local business.

The music playing as we approached the truck was a fun vibe, and the gentleman at the window was super friendly. I asked him what flavor of the lemonades he recommended - he listed a few but once I heard Mango Zaddy, I knew we had to try it. After we ordered, I spotted Chef Amanda and had to let her know I found them based on her Tik Tok and she made a point of getting my name and briefly chit chatting with me.

My husband and I shared the Mango Zaddy, and we were both blown away by how delicious and refreshing it was. After every sip, we kept saying “it’s SO good!” We wanted to get home and try mixing it with a little white rum, but by the time we got home there was hardly any left.

Came by looking for tamales at the new spot but found out the family matriarch retired (congrats to her!). The team hooked me up with the secret menu elote instead and I'm SO glad they did! The corn was flavor packed with all the right toppings.
