Disappointing. A lifetime ago I was a roller skating car hop. I was really excited to find a Sonic to eat at again.
I ordered the exact same thing I've been ordering for a few decades. I ordered a cheeseburger with mayo & green chilis only. I got my food and while driving home I took a bite, right into a tomato. No green chilis. So I turned around and went back through the drive thru. Except nobody came. I watched through the window as 5 people mopped, wiped and just stood around. I honked. Nobody came. It was really awkward. There were 4 other cars at the park boxes. They were open. No clue. Finally a woman came to the window. I told her I had gotten the wrong burger and that I wanted the cheeseburger with just mayo and green chili. There was a really uncomfortable conversation where she told me that I "ordered that wrong". She lectured me some more because I was clearly interrupting her easy night by actually being a customer. Then she disappeared with my minus one bite burger. Soon she came back to the window and handed me a wrapped burger and started in again about how I "don't know how to order" BS. I drove home. I opened up the wrapper to find a minus one bite cheeseburger with green chilis. Still the tomatoes that I had taken a bite out of.
Now, I realize its been a very long time since I've worked in the food industry but I'm still fairly certain giving me back a partially eaten burger was taboo. I also believe that treating customers this way is a surefire way to go out of business. And the kicker? The food isn't good. So, unless someone installs a flux capacitor in my delorean to travel back to when they were new, I won't be returning. Good...
Read moreMe and my wife were trying to get 2 vanilla cokes with real cream extra cream. First time they brought out one coke with no cream, we asked for our second coke vanilla with cream, extra cream and for the first one to be remade to what we ordered, they come back out with 2 drinks that are less than what we asked for. And asked for payment for drink number 2. The first drink rang up as $2.05 the second coke $2.59 dont know how thats possible when we attempted to get the same thing. While waiting for my card we were looking at these Regular coke with maybe some cream? We get the recipt back for $2.59 and it says reg coke ad rel crm extra rl crm so I press the button to ask for the correct items because this isn't it. Some man who works there came out with just some real cream, not understanding the real problem is my wife and I wanted vanilla coke not Regular. So the man took the 2 drinks they brought out to us for correction number 2 now and threw them away in the trash right in front of me and my wife. So now my wife doesn't want anything that come out of that kitchen due to the fear of retaliation. All she wanted was a vanilla coke cream extra cream. It's that simple but we got called ridiculous for asking for a refund and not accepting the 3rd tried corrected sodas, I made sure to record the encounter, the manager made sure he got a few pics of me too after he knew he was on camera. Went behind a window and picked up the phone as if he was calling the cops on me and my family for wanting a drink...
Read moreJust leaving a cut and paste from the email I just sent to corporate. I believe it speaks for itself and highlights one of the many reasons these places shouldn't skate by having teenagers supervise themselves.
"I just left your location at 10051 Wadsworth Pkwy, Westminster, CO 80021 after having been refused service. The location is open until 11:00pm and the time I began writing this email is 10:58pm, after having to Google your email address, for time reference. I attempted to order in the app at 10:30pm and was informed via popup at CHECKOUT that the location was no longer taking online orders. So, I drove the less than 2 miles to the location and got in their drive-thru at 10:45pm. There were 2 vehicles in front of me, which both proceeded to the window after ordering. When we got to the speaker at 10:49, we were informed "We are closed. You'll have to try again tomorrow." My husband argued that they are open for 10 more minutes and we have been waiting in line, to which we responded logically that we had BEEN there and waiting in line. He claimed the vehicles he served ahead of us were online orders picking up. That isn't relevant since, 1) I tried to order online AND 2) I arrived at the ("FAST" food) location 15 minutes prior to actual closing. This is simply unacceptable and inconsistent, untrustworthy, rule business is not business I will continue to do business with. Employees like that can ruin an entire venture for you, just...
