The pros: Shopping in the store was a pleasant experience. We didn't have sales people hovering over us the whole time, which I always appreciate. Also, we just got (some of) the furniture we ordered, and its quality met my expectations.
The cons: The delivery logistics of this place are just bad. We ordered our bedroom set in August, and they told us that some pieces were backordered until November. We said that was fine; we'd wait until everything was ready so we only had to pay one delivery fee. When November arrived, we got an email saying the bed, chest, and dressers were ready, but there was no mention of the nightstands we ordered. We called to ask, and they said that actually, the nightstands were ready (?), but the chest didn't get loaded on the truck at the distribution center.
We now have to wait another month for the chest because they apparently only deliver to our area certain times each month. (You'd think they'd make a special trip since it was their screw-up -- and since we live in Erie, which is not far from the store -- but nope.) No discount or anything was offered; it was just, "Welp, we messed up, so you'll have to wait another month for the chest now."
On top of that, I knew that I would be heads down at work the day they were delivering the furniture, so both my husband and I called at separate times to change the phone number in their system from mine to his, so that he would be alerted when the delivery folks were on their way (since he would be home). Despite both of us calling to make that change to his number, the "we're on our way" text still went to me, so he had to run around frantically to get our indoor pets secured when the delivery folks suddenly arrived at our house with no warning.
No complaints about the furniture we've gotten so far, but prepare to have your patience seriously tested if you get anything that's on backorder or if you get...

Should’ve trusted our gut and avoided this store all together after how poorly we were treated at the Highlands Ranch location during our initial visit but we really loved the asthetic and were excited we found something that matched our style. Unfortunately, I don’t rebuy from places that don’t stand behind their merchandise.
We bought fabric chairs and they started to have discoloration spots on the fabric, we take very good care of our things so when we noticed the spots we dabbed them with some water which didn’t seem to work and instead followed the directions and had them professionally cleaned. This made the spots more prominent so after the cleaning I emailed Scandinavian designs photos and they told me they would send out a 3rd party inspector. The inspector came out and also tried to clean the spots off but was completely unsuccessful, he told me he would send the report to them and someone would be in touch by the end of the week. It had been weeks so I finally emailed them to see what was going on and their response was short, rude and gave no insight as to what the problem was or how to fix or rectify the situation since their own cleaner could not get these spots out of the fabric. We were told it wasn’t a manufacturers defect so it’s not covered…. We haven’t even had these chairs 6 months… the fabrication is terrible and apparently unable to be cleaned even if you follow their cleaning instructions by hiring professional cleaners. We will now be getting rid of these chairs and I will NEVER shop here again or recommend shopping at this furniture store to any of my clients, which i had been doing as a real estate agent. Read moreI love the layout and style of thos store so much! The reason I am giving this review one star is because of the staff. Go to one of the other locations if you want help from an employee.
We went in last weekend and there were two employees standing in the register area. We were hardly acknowledged and had to seek out another employee to answer our questions. The woman that helped us seemed annoyed and knew very little about what they have to off. She had to look up every thing on the website to answer our questions. She was supprised to find there were no dining chairs with arms in the store. We left hopping she was just having a bad day and planned to return another day.
The next day I called and asked about what chairs were at a specific table in this store because we hadn't seen them at the other stores. The same woman told me I needed to come in or look online. I explained that we had, but were not able to find them. She again said to look online.
Giving it one last chance we stopped in last night ready to buy a dining table and chairs. When we walked in a different woman was in the register area and did not speak to us. We walked around a little and saw only one other employee. He did speak, but no offer to help. He didn't even slow down or give us a chance to ask for help. We didn't see them or another employee as we stood around waiting for someone to help us.
We will not return to this store and do not recommend it to anyone. Try the other two stores! They have the same stuff and are around when...
